Zmev 10-18-2005 10:34 PM

So I decided to actually do the rym thing, this is going to take awhile.

BillCosby 10-18-2005 10:38 PM

I'm going to see Moving Units this Saturday.

Yay!

I thought they were breaking up, but they keep playing more shows.

morrissey 10-18-2005 10:56 PM

So I went to see Franz Ferdinand tonight, it wasn't mind-blowing but I would go again.

Openers Cut Copy were cool, I had never heard of them before but they did alright. I wouldn't buy an album though, hey I already own Interpol's records.

TVOTR were kick ass, love those guys.

Franz Ferdinand were great fun, I was surprised the place seemed about half empty and for such a danceable band the crowd seemed pretty stiff. Musically they were cool though, and I have come to the conclusion that I love Scottish accents. Set was too short, but I say that about every show. I want you to play your entire discography god dammit. Especially if you only have about 1h30 worth of music to your name anyways.

Good night overall.

The Commodore Ballroom has 19+wned me innumerable times.

BSS being the most recent.

Zmev 10-19-2005 12:22 AM

I spent an hour and a half doing the cd's that begin with #, A, Z, Y, and X

This is going to take awhile.

morrissey 10-19-2005 01:01 AM

Ah the first time is terrible. Once you finish the first load it's all gravy.

edit: reading this over - yes, I am talking about rym and not something else. :\

morrissey 10-19-2005 05:55 AM
edited out freaking smilies
Now now I didn't say it was bad.

But to be honest I prefered the songs from the NEW ALBUM live, damn them for growing on me. I can't stop listening to it now.

They didn't play "Auf Asche" or "You Could Have it so Much Better" though.

:( :( :(

morrissey 10-19-2005 06:13 AM

Yeah actually they did. They played all of the singles plus some crap and then some other stuff.

morrissey 10-19-2005 06:16 AM

Mindblowing.

morrissey 10-19-2005 06:22 AM

I bet it's crap.

Electrocution 10-19-2005 07:37 AM

It's because us indie kids are such a well-behaved group.

PinkFreud 10-19-2005 09:24 AM

er, i went to see electric six on saturday. i HOPE some of you know who they are. especially if you live in michigan.

Kyle 10-19-2005 10:06 AM

I have a clip of them playing Danger(high Voltage) on my Jools Holland DVD. They were really funny, and the guitarist plays alot more prominately(sp?) live, it was quite cool even though I never liked their studio work.

How were they?

I love that song Gay Bar.

YOU!
I wanna take you to a gay bar,
I wanna take you to a gay bar,
I wanna take you to a gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.

Let's start a war, start a nuclear war,
At the gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.
Wow!
At the gay bar.
Now Tell me do ya?, but do ya have any money?
I wanna spend all your money,
at the gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.

I've got something to put in you,
I've got something to put in you,
I've got something to put in you,
At the gay bar, gay bar, gay bar.
Wow!

You're a superstar, at the gay bar.
You're a superstar, at the gay bar.
Yeah! you're a superstar, yeah at the gay bar.
You're a superstar, at the gay bar.

they were amazing. local band to detroit thats gaining popularity elsewhere. its great because they play here like twice a year. its also odd seeing as how the singer lives in california yet the rest of the band lives here in michigan. the show was great though. i was right up in front of the lead guitarist. the colonel. theyve gone through so many lineup changes. i think i almost had a heart attack though. too much jumping around after chain smoking.
