ant_182 06-07-2008 08:04 AM

EWWW at the fosters in a can, and any alcohol drink in a can. And stella is possibly the worst drink ever! Good party?

Talos 06-07-2008 09:06 AM

Stella, Fosters and Strongbow are all awesome IMO.

TTTSNB 06-07-2008 09:22 AM
Thats not a party. Thats only a quiet night in
Depends how many people are there. BIG parties tend to just attract too much unwanted attention.

Talos 06-07-2008 09:30 AM

Thats true, ive been to plenty of house parties where gangs have turned up and massive fights have kicked off. Then the police turn up with dogs and stuff and it gets all too crazy, thats why I dont go to any anymore.
I prefer to just chill with mates with just a couple of beers and stuff.

Undisco Kidd 06-07-2008 09:48 AM

i prefer vodka. less calories, you know.

Berk 06-07-2008 09:50 AM

diet pepsi ftw

Talos 06-07-2008 09:50 AM

Berk: No.

ace76543 06-07-2008 09:51 AM

I need a metronome, $50-$100. suggestions?

ant_182 06-07-2008 09:59 AM

USD?
Stella, Fosters and Strongbow are all awesome IMO.
I cant drink stella. Its the worst beverage ever made! Fosters is nice as is strongbow. But you can always taste the can at the bottom so I like bottles/pints

ace76543 06-07-2008 10:01 AM

Cad

ant_182 06-07-2008 10:10 AM

Not sure how much things are for you though. What do you have right now, any mertonome?

ace76543 06-07-2008 10:12 AM

Nope. I just want a clicky thing. Nothing special, preferrably something that will do something other than just 4/4, but other than that, i just want a clicky that i can play along with.

edit: other features would be cool though, but if it's more than $150 **** it

Berk 06-07-2008 10:30 AM

google online metronome

its free.

an_original_name 06-07-2008 10:30 AM

The Korg MA30 is a pretty good click. It should be well inside your price range as well.

ant_182 06-07-2008 10:36 AM
the beer table from a party i was at last night.

and thats the beer fridge

My friend has an old vending machine... so we filled it with beer and replaced the labels.

Best part is it actually works. Like, everything stays real cold and when you push the button and a beer pops out.

Undisco Kidd 06-07-2008 10:43 AM

you're spending 100 bucks on a metronome? A little plastic box that clicks a beat through a tiny plastic speaker and has a cheap headphone jack?

ace76543 06-07-2008 10:52 AM

no actually i'm going to spend about 40

ant_182 06-07-2008 03:02 PM

How much are metrophones in Canada?

Never thought of it that way before.

Unless you want extra features like clave or programmable tempo changes thats pretty much all a metronome is.....a plastic box that clicks lol.

iamjoe2 06-07-2008 03:34 PM

dude, dr beat-30

has claves, is compact, and best part, its like $20

can do everything you need pretty much...

theres also the DB-60 in it has more bells and whistles, its like $50 i think but im not sure....

Sponer 06-07-2008 04:09 PM

I have the Tama metronome (old version, like 2-3 years old). It's like $80 I think, but I got it as a gift. :)

I like it though, cause I can hear it over the drums without headphones (I don't have any good headphones I can use for drumming). You can also have it beep the 8th notes, 16th notes, and triplets. And of course you can pick whatever time signature. You can also "store" like 30 tempos/time signatures, but that seems kinda pointless to me. It has potential to be set up so you can change time signatures during at the touch of a button, but... at the touch of a button isn't always easy when your drumming.

So it does more than just beep, but yea... most metronomes seem overpriced (including the Tama).

ace76543 06-07-2008 04:42 PM

http://www.jhs.co.uk/qwicktune/qt7.jpg

i got that one

lol

ant_182 06-07-2008 04:44 PM

right.....

Berk 06-07-2008 05:09 PM

so i bought 4 t shirts for making custom t's. I ****ed one up, threw it out. made another one, ****ed it up, but im gonna keep it cause it doesnt look as bad as the first one.

i think the humidity is ****ing up the wax on the paper.

ace76543 06-07-2008 05:10 PM

it's really bad. Oh well, it's really only a temp so whatever.

Sponer 06-07-2008 05:32 PM

this humidity sucks.

and i start my 'factory' job monday, which is gonna be really hot to start. but at least the first two days I'm in a building watching movies with AC (that's the training). SO hopefully by wednesday most of the humidity will be gone at least.

Berk 06-07-2008 05:34 PM

ugh it really does suck. next time i make some, im gonna do it in my basement so the paper doesnt get pwnd by humidity..
