And more to the point DBJ's avatars often rock - its Frank Drebbin atm isn't it?
I think he's changed it back to Snake now. A different Snake than before, though.

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-06-2005 01:01 PM

Haha. My parents just came back from Wal-mart. My dad put a bag of apples in some strange lady's cart (unknowingly).

JACKROXYOU 02-06-2005 01:03 PM

cool?

Bartender 02-06-2005 01:04 PM
I rep you often enough.
And I sometimes rep Jim for his brillant taste in avatars.
Well yeah, but being repped by friends is different, isn't it? :)

I just mean that your average user seems more likely to rep a non-mod than a mod, because the mod already has 20,000+ points. I also don't think I've ever been repped by another mod, other than NPC when he was going around repping practically everyone with really annoying comments.

Bartender 02-06-2005 01:04 PM
Is being a mod all that it's made out to be?

NP: Overkill - Old School
I'm not sure; what's it made out to be?

xxxRoCkJuNkiExxx 02-06-2005 01:05 PM

Well, I'm off to eat something and watch a tape. See y'all tomorrow!

I'm so behind the times...

ruling over the pestents of the boards

Burdcheese 02-06-2005 01:08 PM

Just out of interest, what does putting someone on your buddy list do?

JACKROXYOU 02-06-2005 01:09 PM

yea ive been wondering that to

JACKROXYOU 02-06-2005 01:11 PM

not if you use it right

Burdcheese 02-06-2005 01:11 PM

I don't touch the stuff myself. In fact i shy away from spirits most of the time. Unless they're part of a White Russian.

Beer all the way though.

JACKROXYOU 02-06-2005 01:13 PM

buy BLACKSTONE wine. i need money

straight porte for me

Bartender 02-06-2005 01:16 PM

I spend too much on music to get drunk often. When I do, it's usually at one particular friend's house.

JACKROXYOU 02-06-2005 01:18 PM

yea its not great to get smashed

that why you got to eat while you drink

Bartender 02-06-2005 01:20 PM

Oh no, I liked getting plastered. I just don't have enough money most of the time to do so.

Moon Flavor 02-06-2005 01:21 PM

I lnow I'd get caught if I did it often

Burdcheese 02-06-2005 01:22 PM

I haven't been drunk since my Birthday in January :(
If i'm going to get drunk I prefer to do it at someone's house, so I don't have to worry about it

JACKROXYOU 02-06-2005 01:22 PM

i dont like cause you'de take a great night and barely remeber the next day with a massive headache

Burdcheese 02-06-2005 01:25 PM

I tend not to get hangovers though. Only real side effect in the morning is dehydration

munky_magik 02-06-2005 01:26 PM

I get awful hangovers. Really awful hangovers.
Somebody remind me as to why PM's are disabled?

Bartender 02-06-2005 01:26 PM

Yeah, I've been lucky with hangovers so far too (haven't had one, as far as I can tell).

JACKROXYOU 02-06-2005 01:26 PM

yea take chasers they work :thumb:

Burdcheese 02-06-2005 01:27 PM

The server can't handle them (or at least the old one couldn't)

Bandwidth. Much easier on the server if people can just contact each other with exterior messaging services, I think.

JACKROXYOU 02-06-2005 01:28 PM

pm?

Bartender 02-06-2005 01:28 PM

Private Message.

JACKROXYOU 02-06-2005 01:29 PM

ah of cource

munky_magik 02-06-2005 01:29 PM

The rep system is kinda useful as a PM service, apart from non-mods can't edit their messages.

NP: Cotton Eyed Joe - It says Scatman John, but I know it's lying.

Bartender 02-06-2005 01:30 PM

Yeah, I quite like the rep system as a way of leaving messages, inside jokes, etc (rather than it's actual, intended function).
