Faith+1, I must ask. You said your teacher saw them on the Undertow tour? Would this teacher happen to be named Mr.Brubaker?
it was Mrs.Beluchia (sp?)

it was my 6th grade teacher, some how we got on the topic of rock music, and she said she saw tool at the masquerade.

Yeah, that's kinda weird. My Science teacher from last year said he saw them at the Masquerade too, during the Undertow tour.

denboy 09-07-2005 07:25 PM
Well they aren't well know in England, it's all about where you come from.
If you call selling out every show on their last tour not well known, then you're right. (trust me.. no matter where you come from, tool is well known)

Did anyone ever listen to Kashmir? hehe

Futuro 09-07-2005 07:26 PM
Yeah, that's kinda weird. My Science teacher from last year said he saw them at the Masquerade too, during the Undertow tour.
thats really weird dude.....its almost as serious as the 747 conspiracy

Yes...almost. Now that we know it was Sweden, we should tell Bush that hes having a war with the wrong country.
I think Jake made it up.
What? No no no. I know I heard it somewhere before I started tweaking on it...

Knifeboy- I tried DLing the ZIP, but it kicked out at 54%. If you link me to the file, I'll try and DL it again. :-D

I hope you actually end up enjoying one of those songs, or else I'd feel pretty bad for putting you through all this trouble.. hehe
Ah, you saw Red Sparowes? How were they; I've been dying to see them live. Their debut is one of my favorite albums of this year, or any year.
Awesome show, even though their projector crapped out... almost every song gave me the chills.... gooooood stuff

Dr. Jake Destructo 09-07-2005 08:03 PM
Off topic, but why were the YSI threads closed?

I can imagine quite a few reasons, but why specifically.
I guess forums have been completely erased, basically, due to mass filesharing, via sites like YSI. Some fag user said he would report the site if we persisted, or something, so I guess Jeremy(mx) decided to shut down the YSI threads.

I can't stand megaupload, you can use www.tinyurl.com to make the link that YSI gives you different, and it doesn't block it.

denboy 09-07-2005 08:09 PM

I can use that megaupload link forever, when I want to introduce people to Kashmir, I prefer that, to having to ysi it every time

Moses 09-07-2005 08:10 PM

That's true but YSI should stay for a decent enough time. Megaupload just takes way to long on my comp.

On another note, does anyone want to hear the #1 highschool orchestra in the nation?

http://feeds.feedburner.com/MhsaRadio

They also feature me in a recital last year but I barely could play the song and the recording is really bad so, yeah. I'm Nojus, the first pianist on it. Just click the button in front of the listen button.

I'd be happy to YSI it if you really want to hear it.. I have no idea if you'd like it though!

Moses 09-07-2005 08:16 PM

I'll like anything that is good. :thumb:

For the page turn.

denboy 09-07-2005 08:32 PM

That piano piece was cool!.. A bit messy at times, but hey, I'm not gonna diss anyone for being that good at the piano.. hehe

http://tinyurl.com/9dya5
And because making that zip again, I forgot to put in one of the songs:
http://tinyurl.com/de5eo

Like I said before, it's the first track on each of their albums..
First album: Jamie fame flame
second: Vote 4 dick tiad
Third: mom in love, dad in space
Fourth: Rocket brothers

Listen to all of them (in that order for maximum effect).. You're bound to like one of the songs.. Hehe

Moses 09-07-2005 08:43 PM

Like I said I could barely play it at the time and one of the parts is even twice as slow as it's supposed to be, but I'll record it better later. Anyway I really suggest listening to the orchestra because it's just really good.

Is anyone aware that the title of this thread translates to "The Balls of Tool"

ew.

denboy 09-07-2005 09:08 PM

Oh man, I'm begginning to think that this threadtitle was a bad idea...
See why we should have just gone with "Tool"?

Moses 09-07-2005 09:10 PM

Everyone is aware.....

I listened to Kashmir and it seems that they have some Coldplay influence and then some early Tool influence in other places. I liked the Mom in Love, Dad in Space song.

I don't hear any Tool, but that's cool.. Hehe
If you'd like, I could upload a couple of their other songs in the vein of Mom in love , dad in space.. Next time I go online

Kage 09-07-2005 09:15 PM

Kashmir...wasn't really my thing.

denboy 09-07-2005 09:16 PM

Fair enough :)

I hear early Tool on The Story of Jamie Flame Flame for some reason. I don't know, maybe I'm on crack.

denboy 09-07-2005 09:20 PM

Ah, yes , that I can agree with... Maybe not influenced, but atleast somewhere near being the same genre .. It was recorded in 93, though, so I don't know how much influence tool could have had on it

Moses 09-07-2005 09:25 PM

Okay, well there you go.... It's not somthing I'd normally listen to.

Did anyone else hear my school's recordings?

NP:Polonaise in A flat major by Chopin

Reywas 09-08-2005 01:14 AM

This is gonna sound a bit strange but do you guys know why the YSI thread was closed?

EDIT : No matter I found out.
