I have Dreams.
They're pretty good IMO.

Oddly enough, they were mentioned really early in the thread (pg. 10, post #183) by some guy who had no idea what he was talking about.

I don't think many of you, if any, paid attention to that band when it was mentioned.

cobert 06-24-2008 12:22 PM

Yes we did, they got jocked heavy by some dude in here.

They're terrible actually.

Does anyone know if the Envy side of the Envy/Jesu split is any good?

santi3hg 07-02-2008 12:22 PM

I heard it wasnt great

cobert 07-02-2008 01:28 PM

Does anyone know if on the Thursday/Envy split Thursday will realize they have been slipping on the last few releases and try to step it up to match Envy?

team_racket 07-02-2008 05:35 PM

Totally forgot about that. Gave full collapse another listen yesterday, never get bored of it.

Siberian Dreamer 07-03-2008 04:44 PM
Does anyone know if the Envy side of the Envy/Jesu split is any good?
It's good, but Envy have obviosly been influenced by Jesu in the recording process as it sounds different to their normal output.
Did they play Ambulance? When I saw them the set was 10/10 but that song was like 40/10
young liars
the wrong way
dreams
i was a lover
province
wolf like me
blues from down here
satellite
staring at the sun

no ambulance, I would have loved to see that, did they do it all acapella like on the album? but even so, amazing setlist. katrina ford from celebration came out to sing for Wolf Like Me and the whole band was just spot on. Satellite was actually the best of the night I'd say, they made it super intense. I was also tripping on LSD so it made it alot more intense haha

br3ad_man 07-06-2008 10:01 PM

It wasn't acapella, it was even better. It started with bass guitar and the two dudes whistling the bassline over some guitar noise and then he started singing. The after first verse Sitek busted out the most kickass beatboxing ever. Then the two dudes from the Yeah Yeah Yeahs came out and played percussion.

cbmartinez 07-06-2008 10:32 PM

Sitek is amazing, he writes the coolest **** and his live playing is ill

iamrockzorz 07-06-2008 10:34 PM

Iluvatar 07-06-2008 11:03 PM

cbmartinez 07-06-2008 11:29 PM
