I'd probably say LAD or SiT.
I think we may have the next Bruce here:p http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkTRV7vz06k&search=iron%20maiden |
Sounds like Abu from The Simpsons
|
There's something that catches me about Virtual IX.
|
I love that cover too...it's really cool.
|
I kind of liked the cover for The X Factor, even though I don't really like the album.
|
I don't really like X Factor's cover, but the Virtual XI is a pretty cool one.
|

/Says exactly the opposite. |
My favorites either Killers or LaD. I love the way Eddies killing the guy on Killers.
Anyways, I've been away for a while, but I'm soooooooooooo happy to see Maiden are coming to Philly. I'm getting tickets as soon as they go on sale. |
Best cover is Killers, of course.
|
I remember I had to draw the Killers cover for art last year... It took less than a period to draw eddie, but the rest took like a week

I think you mean Apu :p but by god that video is hilarious. Anyway i'm assuming this has already been posted but just incase it hasn't i'm guessing you guys would be very grateful to see this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dNttRSMqOe0 Its not bad, however i dont think it really sounds that much different to their other stuff, they made out that it was gonna be very different sounding and kinda progressive but all in all i was a little dissapointed by the lack of change. Its still a good song but i was hoping for some a bit more different. |
Live After Death is such a good album. There's not a song that i don't like on it. The guitars sound so good on that. they harmonise so well (although that may the case on every iron maiden album).
|
As far as live albums are concerned i much prefer Maiden England. Easily the best set list ever:)
|
Great band, got all of their albums (except for the best-of compilations), my favourite has to be Somewhere In Time, damn love that album especially that ****in' awesome guitarsolo in Stranger In A Strange Land. I've heard the new song and I'm a bit dissapointed by it, but I'm sure they'll have some kick-*** songs on the new album.
|
I definitly like The Reincarnation, I like the dark feel alot. I wouldn't say its up to par with the best tracks on Brave New World and Dance of Death, but its definitly quality.

Can i play with madness is killer on maiden england A 1 A 2 A 123 CAN I PLAY WITH MADNESS!! YOU GOT IT!!! [GIANT FIREWORK EXPLOSION] Anyway, today i bought Aqualung by jethro tull only because i love maiden's cover of cross eyed mary. But i have to say: Maiden's Cross Eyed Mary>Tull's Cross Eyed Mary (wtf is up with the flute?) |
I'm not an Iron Maiden fanboy but I'm gonna go see them with Bullet for my Valentine in October. What do you think their set list will look like because I honnestly don't like all their song.
|
They basically always play Number of the Beast, Run to the Hills, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Wrathchild, Iron Maiden, The Trooper and Fear of the Dark.
And there will obviously be several new tracks. They fill in the rest with a variety of songs, spreading across their catalog. |
I'm curious, does anyone know what the price range will be for the tickets?
|
I'm not sure what it is in USD, but it was £40 including Ticketmaster costs over here, if you look back a couple of pages, you can find the Canadian cost, which is probably similar.

Really?
Where'd you hear that one, Crag? |
If it's true, that sucks.
|
Really?
Where'd you hear that one, Crag?
I'm not really sure, it was either one of Kevin Shirley's diaries or an interview with one of the band.
If it's true, that sucks.
I think its good, i'm fed up hearing the same old songs all the time really. |
Yeah, but not everyone has seen them before. I would be fucking pissed off if I went to see Maiden, and missed out on a classic song which is better than the new ones.
|

I think its good, i'm fed up hearing the same old songs all the time really.
Yeah, I recall hearing that on the IMOC Forums. I hope they drop Wrathchild for sure, and maybe NOTB..but other than that I'm fine with them sticking to alot of the same old songs. But I agree with Apocalyptic Raids that, since this'll be my first time seeing Maiden (If I get to go) I don't wanna' go and not get to hear Run To The Hills or Hallowed Be Thy Name. |
This'll be my third time seeing them, and as long as they keep Hallowed in, I'm not bothered what they play, but I hope it's alot of new stuff, and some things they haven't played in a long time, (Still life, Sea of Madness, anything that's not the first three tracks on the X-Factor)

I would love it if they did Sea Of Madness. |

But stuff like NOTB RTTH and HBTN, while maybe sounding a bit dull on live recordings, they are fucking awesome if you are at a concert. There's nothing better then seeing a giant 666 light up right behind the drum set.
This'll be my third time seeing them, and as long as they keep Hallowed in, I'm not bothered what they play, but I hope it's alot of new stuff, and some things they haven't played in a long time, (Still life, Sea of Madness, anything that's not the first three tracks on the X-Factor)
But it's stuff like that we unfortunely know maidenwont put n their set list. Considering The early days tour where they dropped CtH becasue some "fans" wouldnt be able to reconize it, and to replace it they put in wratchild. But you never know, maiden are full of suprises. |
