Best guitar I've played in ages was a mate's American made Fender Strat.

my mate in the states has a couple of charvels (oldschool jacksons) that are amazing. One is matte black and one id glow in the dark :lol: such nice guitars though.

I probably will buy exactly the kind of guitar my mate had. I've been meaning to ask him what exact thing it was but I haven't seen him. I was doing some tapping on it, sounded freaking beautiful.

I use it in a very loose term. I know lots of musos and form bands for certain gigs alot; exhibit A, i'm playing a carols service this friday night with 9 others I know from my church. I'm only in two permament bands [catfight on a hotdog, and the week-to-week church band] but have played in a fair few in the past and still get called for one off gigs. I started playing because my teacher joined the army and the church needed someone, now I occasionally teach and the tables have turned.

The padawan has become a master now.

Generally it's just volunteering. But I have heard of those huge churches in America having a band as part of their staff. I'd love one of those gigs. How cool'd that be for a job; a constant twice a week gig to 5,000 people who you know.

I'm a better band-leader than a drummer, tbh. I just groove away and organise everyone.

The church my olds go to wants me to play guitar but id feel bad playing cause i dont believe in god and plus their songs are shitty and wouldnt challenge me at all and i couldnt play fast cause theyre all old.

Our music is heaps challenging dude. It's all wierd dynamics. Actually, I'm doing a song thats in 12/8 tomorrow night. lol.

You could always improv some shred in funny places, see if anyone notices :lol:
