i shall consider you one of the illuminati
I'll take that as a compliment, I guess.

Pebster49 04-14-2008 06:01 PM

Glass Casket doesn't bree, if I remember correctly.

Pete 04-14-2008 07:08 PM
Glass Casket doesn't bree, if I remember correctly.
For the most part yeah, good call.

Pebster49 04-14-2008 09:12 PM

kinda breey, lol, that made me laugh

Pete 04-15-2008 02:14 AM

its the adjective form of bree

AFragileHope 04-15-2008 02:18 AM

You lucky SoaB. I wanna see Mitch live so I can witness the true stylings of a decent deathcore band live. He is a brutal vocalist.

adb 04-15-2008 02:44 AM

yeah man, it was excellent. It was hot as hell in the place, he kept dumping water in the crowd, which was great. I probably got a whole bottle dumped on me in total.
I just wish he was in a black metal band or something, his talent is pretty much wasted.

2muchket! 04-15-2008 06:53 AM

Took a look at some Carnifex promos the other day to see the vocalist wearing an Emporer tee.

Now I wonder how long its gunna take before scene kids starting wearing BM shirts and ruining their names as well :(

I took a listen to Winds Of Plague again yesterday. They're pretty lolworthy

rasputin 04-15-2008 07:42 AM
Now I wonder how long its gunna take before scene kids starting wearing BM shirts and ruining their names as well
That's unfortunately a very probable thing :(

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-15-2008 01:16 PM

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-15-2008 01:19 PM

did u guys ever see the black kid with the fringe bangs in the burzum shirt?

Dimmu Burger 04-15-2008 03:00 PM
its the adjective form of bree
I think Breesque is the proper use.

Yeah there's gonna be a slew of scene-black metal bands next week.

beans 04-15-2008 04:25 PM

new carnifex sounds damn good though

Dimmu Burger 04-15-2008 04:25 PM
new carnifex sounds damn good though
I'll have to give it another listen, it sounded kinda generic to me.

hows it goin bunit?

beans 04-15-2008 04:27 PM

it is really generic, i've just always liked thier sound, they were one of the first deathcore bands i got into, so i dont know...

im doin good, just working working working my life away, smokin a lot of sheesh and a few spliffs here and there
what about you?

Dimmu Burger 04-15-2008 04:29 PM

I feel you there. I'm like that with a lot of bands, like As Blood Runs Black. I like them mostly because they are the first deathcore band I got into.

Good as well. Just babysitting the devil's kids.

beans 04-15-2008 04:34 PM

yeah, im not sure what it is, i remember seeing and hanging out with suicide silence when no one knew who they were and they exploded out and now everyone knows them, but i've always thought they were cool cause they were playing deathcore before the genre got oversaturated.

 gotta do it sometime right?

Dimmu Burger 04-15-2008 04:35 PM

yeah I didn't get into the genre until it was oversaturated, lol.

encmetalhead 04-15-2008 04:37 PM

Darkest Hour and Linkin Park are the bands i will dl the new CDs everytime just cause of how they shaped what type of music i listen to now

DH is still gold though LP not so much

Yeah I dunno why I liked Linkin Park so much back in the day. I even remember saying to someone "How could you not like Linkin Park?" lol I was such a retard.

DH is the shiznit though.

encmetalhead 04-15-2008 04:43 PM

I'm probably not going to dl LP anymore though cause new album just took all the awesomeness they had and burned it. First dXc band for me was Despised Icon

Dimmu Burger 04-15-2008 04:52 PM

oddly enough i didn't get into Despised Icon until recently. as usual i'm late.

encmetalhead 04-15-2008 05:04 PM

i'm so into the dXc scene that i write dXc on every tech theatre quiz i have that our teacher allows us to draw pics on to pass the time till everyone is done

yes i'm hardcore what now

beans 04-15-2008 05:56 PM
oddly enough i didn't get into Despised Icon until recently. as usual i'm late.
as soon as i heard in the arms of perdition i was stoked on them, i really like the healing process

Yeah its good stuff for a bunch of wiggers.

Oh snap!

I do enjoy them really, I just like to make fun of wiggers.
Abacinate - Pretty good

i listened to them the other day and thought about posting them, but they got all "breakdown breakdown breakdown" after a while. not bad but kinda boring.

adb 04-16-2008 05:52 AM

well most deathcore is a breakdown fest and quite boring, these guys have some groove and tech parts, which without them I'd pass easily.

AFragileHope 04-16-2008 05:53 AM

Animosity is easily becoming my fave deathcore, aside from old Through the Eyes of the Dead.

2muchket! 04-16-2008 07:24 AM

Early TTEOTD is ****ing amazing though.

Still I'd say there stuff is more melo-death with breakdowns. But I'd rather not argue over this again.

AFragileHope 04-16-2008 07:30 AM

Its just Gunnells vocals that make them deathcore imo.

Even though everyone hates on Job For A Cowboy, I still think they're pretty solid. Genesis was just too repetitive. They've got skills though, especially Davy and the drummer (can't memba his name).

Dimmu Burger 04-16-2008 07:39 AM

I agree. They are a good listen once in awhile. I don't think Davy is anything special per se. Not that he is bad, but he doesn't do anything too special. I really like people who do highs and lows like Trevor from Black Dahlia Murder.

Yeah. Theres nowt worse than vocalists who only do lows. Some can get away with it if they're not generic.

Brad Norris Fan 777 04-16-2008 12:56 PM

Listen to the Doom EP, Johnny's vocals on there rule.

Also, yeah, TTEOTD and JFAC aren't deathcore.

Kage 04-16-2008 12:57 PM

whose rule?

beans 04-16-2008 02:01 PM

they really do

and they were on earlier material
