Seriously, I love Xanax but it makes me depressed sometimes. And sometimes I go into uncontrollable fits of rage.

LifeInABox 01-05-2008 12:35 PM

Anaal Nathrakh ftw

Txus 01-05-2008 12:42 PM

They kick *** but why are you talking about them in here?

big80smullet 01-05-2008 02:09 PM

See You Next Tuesday

Txus 01-05-2008 02:25 PM

I can't :(

RetiredAt21 01-05-2008 03:11 PM

SYNT is so ****ing annoying. Typical scene grind...bleh.

Invicta_Veritas 01-05-2008 03:20 PM
They kick *** but why are you talking about them in here?
Because they are grind, albeit bm influenced. They're kindof black/grind.

RetiredAt21 01-05-2008 03:21 PM

Anaal Nathrakh gets old after a couple of songs.

They're one of the few good scenegrind bands, and only really sound like Kissyface Fashion Faux~Pas.

You cannot deny that their drums and vocals are incredible.

And, on a side note I think their music's interesting.

/CUNT fanboy

The drumming is good, but I don't see how the vocals are incredible. They bore the hell out of me.

LifeInABox 01-05-2008 03:43 PM
They kick *** but why are you talking about them in here?
There was a bot or something in here leaving links to a band's site saying "If you like Grindcore and Black Metal, Check out..."
SYNT is so ****ing annoying. Typical scene grind...bleh.
They are pretty bad, I agree

I reviewed their album. It really only had one decent song on it.

i am the robots 01-05-2008 03:43 PM

No, no, no, you repeated what Anus.com said and called it your own opinion.
The drumming is good, but I don't see how the vocals are incredible. They bore the hell out of me.
Yeah, but you're also not a vocalist who's obsessed with technique, range, and variation.

LifeInABox 01-05-2008 03:48 PM

Is that your website?

i am the robots 01-05-2008 03:49 PM

Hbp said something humorous for once! alert the authorities! surely there is plagiarism afoot!

RetiredAt21 01-05-2008 06:08 PM

I did some vocals for an improv grind band, once. We didn't last long. One show. LOL so ****ing bad.

TojesDolan 01-05-2008 06:08 PM

if you have a demos I'll praise them to death

Hahaha, nope, no demo. We were horrible anyways. Actually, I wasn't but the drummer ****ing sucked, he ruined everything. He told us he could do blasts really good, turned out he couldn't.

Hahaha, same. We were called Swollen Colon And The Masters Of Time, we played an invisible children benefit concert.

RetiredAt21 01-05-2008 06:14 PM

I really want to start a band, but everyone around here is STILL stuck on generic metalcore...so frustrating. :(

NemesisDivina 01-05-2008 06:16 PM

Start a band with people who like generic metalcore... and write your own stuff and then play NON-generic metalcore. Or grind. w/e you want.

RetiredAt21 01-05-2008 06:19 PM
Start a band with people who like generic metalcore... and write your own stuff and then play NON-generic metalcore. Or grind. w/e you want.
They won't go for that. They won't like the fact that I don't tune to drop C and I don't write songs with breakdowns every ****ing 30 seconds.

Would you be doing vocals? If not, Lancaster's not that far from A-Town, so if you got nigs together for something...

NemesisDivina 01-05-2008 06:21 PM

Oh, they're those people... I thought you meant like... good generic metalcore, not the Devil Wears Prada and As I Lay Dying fanboys.

The breakdown point is understandable, but there's nothing wrong with drop C. It's got a nice tone to it, and it's a very versatile tuning.

Although it's a recording engineer's nightmare...

i am the robots 01-05-2008 06:23 PM

Yeah, that's how it is in my area too. And the kids who write/play actual good music are too unmotivated to ever practice. :(

Invicta_Veritas 01-05-2008 06:24 PM
Yeah, that's how it is in my area too. And the kids who write/play actual good music are too unmotivated to ever practice. :(
That's been a problem of mine wherever I do.

But, I am a little militant about practising though.

Hey, how far are you from Westchester? I might be moving there....

i am the robots 01-05-2008 06:26 PM

Considering it took me and my friends an hour to get to Westchester when we got lost on the way home from Lancaster, and Westchester's south of there, while Allentown's a bit northeast, too far.

RouteOne 01-10-2008 02:07 PM

I can't decide who is better: magrudergrind or YACÖPSAE

Txus 01-10-2008 02:10 PM

Yacøpsæ definitely!

I'm loving As the Sun Sets atm! Great band

clottage cheese 01-10-2008 02:44 PM

Narcosis is a very cool grind band!

Alt tunings suck period.

Magrudergrind ftw obviously.
Alt tunings suck period.
You talk too much for your own good.

LifeInABox 01-10-2008 04:44 PM

I will never back down from this. Alt tunings are stupid.

i am the robots 01-10-2008 04:46 PM

You sound like those 15 year old classic rock fags who are always like MODERN BANDS ARENT TALENTED CUZ THEY CANT EVEN PLAY IN STANDARD

All I'm gonna say is that tunings effect overall tone, and the overall tone of a guitar is very important to how the music sounds.

The more you know. :o

LifeInABox 01-10-2008 05:24 PM

Well, I don't mind E flat standard, but when guitars are being tuned to things like Drop A and A Standard, it's out of hand.

Standard Tuning > E Flat Standard > Alt. Standard tunings >>>>>>>>>> any drop tunings

Eliminator 01-10-2008 05:25 PM

yeah man alt tunings are fukn lame

i am the robots 01-10-2008 05:49 PM
I'm 15.
Good point.

AA-12 01-10-2008 05:50 PM

I think alt tunings are pretty dumb and useless but I dunno.
