I like what I've heard of it, but that's only been a few songs. It appears to be a good buy though.
I'm hopeful for the new album. I suppose any Wildhearts is better than none. My HMV's in Manchester have it. Though somebody had covered it with an Atreyu album. Which I moved.
The HMV in manchester us great, i don't get what the deal with everyone saying HMV is more expensive then everywhere else? bollocks its not, especially with student discount. Cept the categorising in HMV sucks. Look under metal and there a whole bunch of pop-punk and punk bands there? Last few albums i bought - The View - Hats of to the Buskers. Klaxons - Myths of the Near Future Jamie T - Panic, prevention. |
^^I dig the latter 2, although the Klaxons record didn't really come off as well as it could have done.
I heard the track they had up on myspace a while ago ("We're the New Gods", I think), and I'm pretty sure it was good. I don't have the album yet though, no. Apparently the Japanese version has three worthwhile bonus tracks.
When you translate the Japanese HMV page using google them come out as "(bonus track/truck)". I quite like the idea of a bonus truck. "Genre:Lock" Awesome. "With HMV Japan the music book movie game and in addition large number we handle the related commodity." I know of three and suspect there are probably more. It's probably just easiest for them to lump everything into really broad genres. Saves nitpicking over what genre is and it makes it alot easier for people to find sttuff. |

I find thats best in general, but the little one at the bottem of market street is good for Live band DVDs. The one in the trian station is meh though.
^^I dig the latter 2, although the Klaxons record didn't really come off as well as it could have done
Yeah, i thought i would like the klaxons album more the Jamie T, but atm its very much the opposite, but there both good albums. |

I never go to the train station one unless I have alot of time to kill. The two on Market street are good. I think I probably like them equally as they tend to have different stock which is useful in sales. Has the Music Zone closed yet? It'll ruin my system of going from HMV to Music Zone to Fopp to HMV. :( |
Ah HMV is kinda annoying, but I tend to check their selection anyway. I usually shop at Fopp or my local record store Spillers Records.
|
The 2 music zones near me have shut. However through the shutters I could still see all the CD's on the shelves so I considered about breaking in.
The Klaxons album like I predicted is a bit meh. Some good songs, Atlantis to Interzone is a perfect indie pop song and I'm liking Gravity's Rainbow. |

How awesome is Fopp? So many CDs for only £5.00 :)
The 2 music zones near me have shut.
I've quite liked Music Zone ever since I managed to pick the the Beta Band's Three E.ps for £3.97 or something. I hope they haven't gone bust :( |
Oh yeah, I was amazed when I first found Fopp. I can go there and have a constant supply of classic albums for £5 that i've always meant to pick up but never really got around to it. It's great for books aswell, so many classic soft-backs for only like £3.
