20+ doesn't do it for me, especially because it means the application will be some crappy SUV or an old Caddy that has to be lifted in order to fit them.

Pluperfect_Arson 10-20-2006 12:13 AM

Dang, I missed a bunch and watched a crappy showing of CSI. That show has gone downhill.

By the way, 18"s are where it is at.

Its 07:06, do you know where your illegitimate children are?

I'm riding 17s because I didn't wanna drop the extra dough for one more inch. :\
I should have shopped around more before buying wheels.

meh, i still like CSI. definatly still my favorite show on TV. Shark has been proving to be interesting though... might watch it more often....

I don't even own a car nor am I into cars like I used to be. :p

When I finally have the money to buy a car and aftermarket parts, I will definitely be purchasing 18"s.

To British Kid: I didn't watch Shark. I haven't ever seen an episode of it either. I have watched more of the telly this week than I have in like the last five months. I don't really like watching it, and, out here where I have moved, it is incredibly boring.

The Brad 10-20-2006 12:22 AM

Well I was stupid when I was shopping for wheels, I was going to buy a set of 18s just because they were TRD. Now I realized I could have spent a couple extra hundred and got some rims that weighed as much as the tired diameter. :\
Saved a little in the weight department to counteract my fat ***.

HELLonWHEELS 10-20-2006 12:23 AM

night all.

The Brad 10-20-2006 12:25 AM

Night

ebe9 10-20-2006 12:25 AM

For me it entirely depends on the vehicle and the size that matches up nicely to it.

I can't stand seeing these cars where it honestly looks like the mag (rim) is scraping on the road.

The Brad 10-20-2006 12:27 AM

EBE9 are you at work or home?

I am assuming that you drive a Toyota then? :p

There are so many places that you can look for wheels; it is ridiculous. You should have definitely shopped around more.:p

Work

The Brad 10-20-2006 12:32 AM

Of course, you know I drive Toyota. You complimented my vehicle.
I basically wanted 5 spokes and the TRD ones were brushed aluminum and it would have just been a sportier 18" version of the stock wheels (minus a spoke, plus a TRD cap). Then I found the ones by MB wheels (produced by America's Discount Tires- didn't know that until after I bought them) but they were gunmetal grey and went with my paint. So I went with that plus, I was kind of cornered, they were the "last pair" and I could get a "discount" if I acted now. :P I fell for the gimmick, whatever.
I can always try and sell them when I have money for lighter weight wheels.

Darn, I was going to show you my car because they go with the body. I just didn't do the necessary homework before purchasing them.

You can still post them, provided they are not hosted on photobucket.

That just seems to be the only one that is blocked by good old websense

The Brad 10-20-2006 12:36 AM

They are on photobucket.
Are YouSendIt and Sendspace blocked?

I am not really a huge fan of Toyota. I am more of a Nissan person. :p

Also, you could go bigger with your wheels, and it would still look good. Those wheels in that picture look a bit small to be honest. Or maybe just lower your car some? :p

You can find a lot of nice wheels through America's Discount Tire Co, though. I used to look at their advertisements all of the time.

I am a fan of mixing the colours of the wheels and the pant of the car. Like...a yellow car with black wheels--one of my favourite combinations--, white with bronze wheels, and most dark colours with white wheels.

You should tell your company that there's this amazing country on the other side of the Atlantic that believes in this magical thing called "freedom". :p

j/k

Subaru Rally Blue with Gold = Awesome.

I was looking at Black on Charcoal recently, I may make the switch. I am not a fan of anything chrome or gold really.

Yeah they could go larger, but I was planning on lowering the car and then I ran out of money. So that's next on the list once I pay off my credit card and have some positive cash flow. I was really expecting more from my birthday (don't mean to sound greedy or anything).

We're all entitled to our opinions, I know Toyota is sissy. But the way I see it Nissan is the GM of Japan. *shrug*

One Groovin Clown 10-20-2006 12:43 AM

I am starting to get worried.

Last Saturday i bought Tri3ze;s TRB6, he emailed me saying that it would be shipped on the monday. I replied back asking how it was being shipped and the tracking number.

His email back stated that he had been out of town, and that he'd send me the information first thing tommorow(Tuesday) morning.

We'll know it's almost friday and i still havn't got word back from him. I re-emailed him back this morning(thursday) again asking for the tracking number and how it is being shipped.

I sure as hell hope i havn't been screwed out of my money. :(
