Assuming this band is called Eternal Solitude, I get a doom/death profile on M-A.
Not doom/death sounding to me.

Great band though. :)
It's a Solitude Aeturnus song :).

Jondur 10-31-2006 08:32 AM

Its a demo track off the new album (to be released soon). Sounds pretty good - but I'll wait to hear the full album before I pass judgement.

I'm off to Belgium on Friday to watch Reverend Bizarre, Mirror of Deception, Semlah, The Gates of Slumber, The River and a few others. Should be a good do.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-31-2006 08:37 AM

Sounds like a good gig. I got The River's full-length recently, it's top stuff.

Jondur 10-31-2006 08:45 AM

I think it's the best thing they've done (even without me on drums!) - "If Only" has some of the best riffs this side of the mighty Celtic Frost.

I'm looking forward to seeing them live from in front of the band! We were getting to be a really good live band - by the time we did Doom Shall Rise we were crushing - so I'm hoping that their gigging hiatus won't have made them rusty.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-31-2006 08:51 AM

Yeah, it's really great. A Close Study is probably my favourite.

That new SA didn't sound too bad either.

I would kill to be able to go to a show like that.

It sucks being stuck here in NZ.
Hey man, I can see why it might not be your thing. I still love them though, but it might only be because the local scene was so bad in Berkshire.

There was a review of the Bomb The Sun EP in the Cardiff Students magazine today, it got a 9/10 :D
Ahh really?! Can i get a scan of that? I'd love to see it, glad to see they're getting recognition

Isis DVD sounds like it would be pretty cool. I'll look it up when I get home from school.

Great Doom issue yesterday. :thumb: Lots of stuff I didn't have on there.

the2stranger 11-01-2006 05:18 PM

Indeed.
I loved the issue too. :)

np: Mar De Grises - El Otro
Hell yeah'\m/

pate 11-01-2006 05:29 PM

The double Sahgage made it legendary.

magicbus 11-01-2006 06:02 PM

Anybody listen to Khanate or Mare? There's some doom stuff.

And are the Melvins considered stoner rock?

Kage 11-01-2006 06:03 PM

Mare is great, Khanate...I have mixed feelings about.

Actually, I'm wearing a Mare shirt right now.

Melvins are gods in many stoner rock circles, so I'd say yes.
