Probably only Concubine and a couple of others will care, but apparently Kidcrash really want to come to Australia. Someone on the Yellow Ghost forum is saying that they're helping them book dates.

God bless Off Minor for starting this whole "emo bands touring Australia" craze.

br3ad_man 05-15-2008 09:21 AM

It seems like everyone wants to come here. I don't understand why tbh.

Lets hope they do.

I just got back from seeing Dillinger.

Pretty awesome stuff even if the tickets were pricey.
Wow wear the most pretentious shirt you have.
I'll borrow a flannel from somebody.
wear a poison shirt, they define ROCK
I don't own a Poison shirt but good idea.
dress up like Ted from Bill and Ted.
Unless the other person dresses up like Bill nobody would know who I was.
guyliner
lol yes

Also, as more votes came in, it was revealed I tied somebody else in the ultra creepy category 'best legs'. He said he's bringing in some fishnets and we will touch toes.

It seriously sucks so much about the tickets. I reckon they could have sold out the Arena on a Monday night if they'd been 40-50 but at nearly 80 I doubt they'll get more than a few hundred people.

RunAmokRampant 05-17-2008 07:42 AM

Yeah, they played at a much larger venue this time in Melbourne though. It was pretty packed but would've sold out tickets in no time if the price was in the 40-50 range.

br3ad_man 05-17-2008 02:52 PM

Oh well, at least Meshuggah is only 50. That will somehow have to substitute.

team_racket 05-19-2008 06:48 AM

Definately. The network and contacts are clearly there, and most bands tour because its what they believe in or enjoy. I always try and buy a bit of merch or a record out of appreciation. They clearly make f'uck all money, so letting them keep the change is the least I can do.

santi3hg 05-19-2008 08:11 AM

I know for example, Daitro's US tour was organized and helped out by the dudes in Ampere. Somehow Ampere met Daitro and Daitro wanted to come to the US. So Ampere go to work in getting them set up with tour dates along side of them and it happened somehow.

Arthur Carr by L'antietam is so f'ucking good.

sgrevs 05-28-2008 07:13 PM

So I listened to Orchid and they're pretty fucking good. I feel like the vocals are a little too far back in the mix though. Other than that, brutal stuff.
