Illmatic 08-01-2005 11:46 PM

You know what's not cool in NCAA 06?

Dropped passes.

I almost lost to freaking Tulsa because no one on my team could hold onto a damn pass.

I was playing as Oklahoma!

Mekkalayakay 08-01-2005 11:47 PM

Illmatic, is your username named after the Nas album? (curious)

What would you rate it? I was thinking of getting that or Madden '06 soon.

Yep.

I don't know much else that is named "Illmatic".

Efil: 9.5/10 or so. This one bad game aside they've really improved passing from last year.

omg mine too!!!

No seriously, my avatar used to be a little 3D model based on one of the creatures in that painting. I think it was a little head with feet.

Mekkalayakay 08-02-2005 01:15 AM

So I thought I'd whore my new thread. Care to check it out?

Featuring Antony and the Johnsons, DJ Shadow, Okkervil River, Team Sleep, and Without Face.

I actually have no clue. :o Triptych is a "three song" song by an artist called Blockhead.

Thanks. :) Very "happy Rammstein" but I think that's just because it's German. It's good, not as good as Juno Reactor though. ;) Germans are pretty amusing as well.

I get to go see Willy Wonka today. :D

I'm glad you kinda liked them.

Oh my. Topcat is on

evilmenhavenosongs 08-02-2005 05:41 AM

Topcat was always way too cocky for my tastes. Same with Peter Pan.

munky_magik 08-02-2005 05:49 AM

What? Never! Topcat was never too cocky. He was just incredibly schmoove.

evilmenhavenosongs 08-02-2005 05:52 AM

Schmoove. Uh huh.

I liked The Moomins. :D

I'm considering writing a real thread, with backstory and uploads, on one of the bands I nominated for 100 Modern Rock Bands seeing as Iai said most of mine were only nominated by me. Good idea?

munky_magik 08-02-2005 05:56 AM

Topcat is by far the coolest cat in the history of Earth itself.

The Moomins were also cool, though the English version never did manage to match up to the Finish version.

Yeah, it's always good to have decent threads in R&M. I guess it comes down to whether or not you can be bothered.

Would this be HIM by any chance?

clearvision 08-02-2005 06:01 AM

Yeah, it will be a HIM thread, with leah and jess talking about HIm, and everyone else saying 'nice thread'...

The moomins rocked, anyone got an mp3 of the theme tune?

evilmenhavenosongs 08-02-2005 06:03 AM

Actually no. :p I have no desire to spend my afternoon having a pointless argument and I know loads about HIM already, this would be a chance to learn some stuff about some other bands I like.

It's a toss up between Death Cult, The Murder City Devils and Bella Morte at the moment.

munky_magik 08-02-2005 06:11 AM

Curses, I thought that was a safe bet :p

But yeah, thread away!

Don't forget all of the flaming :-/

I can't even remember the Moomins theme.

evilmenhavenosongs 08-02-2005 06:13 AM

Now that's something to download, the Moomins theme tune.

"They love the laughter and they love the living the moooooomins...." Awesome.

I want to do Death Cult but they're really an accquired taste so you'd all hate them.

munky_magik 08-02-2005 06:16 AM

You never know really, so try a thread on them.

I think I'm going to listen to TV themes all day. I've got The Snooker one on now, and am in the process of downloading the Topcat theme. I think I'll also grab The Moomins while I'm at it. Any others I should have?

evilmenhavenosongs 08-02-2005 06:17 AM

I can't think of any at the moment. I think I'm downloading the Moomins theme tune though.

Arucard 08-02-2005 06:28 AM

Spiderman theme tune.

Silent Death 08-02-2005 06:51 AM

The Adams Family theme is cool. I allways liked that show.

My mate told me to download some Sentenced, saying they were good and Omg. How bad are they, they sound exactly like HiM.

Stoic 08-02-2005 07:24 AM
My mate told me to download some Sentenced, saying they were good and Omg. How bad are they, they sound exactly like HiM.
heh? I havent really heard any newer sentenced but a HIM comparison is a disgrace. Which album did you hear?

Arucard 08-02-2005 07:26 AM

The latest one. The song is called Ever Frost, and it even has the HiM clean picking under distorted chords thing.

Gah.

evilmenhavenosongs 08-02-2005 07:34 AM

I never noticed that that much, I must only have older Sentenced.

And so I've actually written a thread of some merit on Southern Death Cult and Death Cult. Hurrah. I should get it up some time today.

Runescape is lame, and ill fight you with a giant sword to prove my point if necessary. World of Warcraft is where its at, although the monthly fee is lame. Although it does keep them constantly updating the game, so i suppose its a double edged sword.

And besides, buying games is the key to life. Games > all.

Do you? It's not so bad. This new system they've got sucks ass. It was much better when I first started. English is my strong point though, so it's not a problem. The only downside? I have to read the Scarlet Letter. :upset: What an insanely horrible book.

Yeah, but probably the reason I hate it is because I fell behind and had to work my ass off to get caught up. Last year I had to read The Great Gatsby, Lord of The Flies, To Kill a Mockingbird, Fahrenheit 451 and I think another one but I can't remember, but I didn't mind, teh books weren't that bad I guess.

I have to read The Great Gatsby, but I'm not. I'm getting the SparksNotes, because I've read it already. I also have to read To Kill a Mockingbird, but I'm not too thrilled about it. I tried reading it a few years back, and couldn't get past the first chapter; it bored me to death.

EDIT: evilmenhavenosongs- For some people, it's hard to read, and that's why they give up on it. I just didn't like it because it was too slow and I didn't find the story intriguing at all. It wasn't difficult to understand for me. But then again, I don't get why some people don't understand Shakespeare.
