The highlight of my weekend was seeing Bear vs Shark and The Fall of Troy.

That would be the highlight of my year. Actually, maybe The Blood Brothers would be. But that would be my second highlight.

That's sad. Out of the 5 gigs I've been to, theirs was easily the best and it was on at a bad time as well, a Sunday afternoon.

Med/anyone else - I want to start a Pulp FA sometime soon, but I probably won't be finished until November. Is anyone queueing for FAs? Eliminator Jr/whatever he's calling himself these days was next in line but he wants to delay it I guess.

So if anyone wants to write one beforehand let me know or else I'll tentatively request to put one up in early/mid November.

I saw the Neon Blonde CD at a CD store last week and saw that it said 'blah blah blah of The Blood Brothers' on the front, but I didn't buy it because I didn't know if it'd be crap or good.
I read a couple of reviews [including yours, when I was randomly browsing Sputnik], and I'm gonna get it this week.

It's so much fun. When I talked to Johnny, he said that they want to come back really soon.

That's a good sign.
I'd need to find people who like The Blood Brothers to go with though, if they did come to my city.
Which could be difficult. But I do know of people who like them. To convert someone into a Blood Brothers liker is hard, mostly because of Whitneys shrieking.

I agree, it's very hard. I ended up going with a female friend. People are still asking "so do you like her?".

Getting people to come to gigs is very hard. Going alone is a bit scary, but sometimes you have to do it. People can be so incredibly slack.

I'm going to try to go to more gigs, even if I have to go alone. I hate missing out on bands I want to see because I can't find anyone to go that either:

a) Likes the band and wants to go
b) Has even heard of the band/artist

I'm just going to go on my own to future gigs, it takes too much effort to find someone that wants to go and seeing as most of my friends are at uni it's kind of hard.

Going on your own may be intimidating or whatever, but it has the advantage of giving you the opportunity to meet people at the gig, who you can then get to know and go to future gigs with, which solves your initial problem.

That's the theory, anyway.

I, very rarely, go to gigs alone, usually, I'll bring a friend or two.

I would also have to say that the new style isn't great. I liked it this morning, then when I got back from work it's been ruined! Despite the quick reply's inconvenience it is very quick once you do it.

I must say I don't really care for the new style :(
