I was talking about death metal in general. There's definitely much more boring than good death metal. New Cannibal Corpse and JFAC, and maybe Decrepit Birth are the pinnacle of boring DM tbh.

both times i saw them they were sloppy and imo Jonny isn't a good frontman, and yeah i met them actually at both shows and thety acted like rock stars and wouldn't even talk to anyone....i was at the bar and was like dude nice show and he turned and starting talking to his guitarist

The term came about around the time Dying Fetus and Skinless came out... you know, really boring death metal with minor tuffguy influence and breakdowns.... then around 2000 we had bands like Embrace The End, The End Of Six Thousand Years, The Red Chord, and Animosity coming out who actually mixed DM and hardcore well.

Note nobody really knew who JFAC was until late 2005...

I think we are misunderstanding one another...I just don't see why people are talking about bands like Whitechapel, Carnifex, and Blowjob For A Cowboy in the death metal thread when there is a deathcore thread for that purpose...

I named like 10 grind bands when they asked who what grind really was and they didn't know one of them, I even mentioned Napalm Death. It was a hilarious argument tbh, they even asked me if I liked Waking the Cadaver.
