3003's seem like a step down from a cx imo.

i need i new stool, has anybody tried the mapex really thick pro round ones? or if not any suggestions for round stool would be swell.

Berk 06-01-2008 08:32 AM

what are you talking about? The 3003 lugs are ****ing amazing, mounts are sick, Overall the hardware on the 3K* kits are just flawless. Ive only really heard my older 3003 and it was pretty sick.

Rhode NT-5's (2 of which)

and then all the wires n clamps n stands for em
Nice! Did you buy them all new or used? I'm in the market for a new SM57 because i believe that mine is broken. Whenever i plug it in via XLR there is a crackling that comes through the diaphragm of the mic!

Howdy MX.

I'm in the process of making a Gavin Harrison-esque rack for my bell/chime collection.

Pics when I'm done, although the felts, wingnuts and sleeves wont be here for a few days.

BummerJonny 06-02-2008 11:20 AM

...and we're back!

can anyone remember the name of that site with the free ear tests on it?

I'm totally buying Snakes and Arrows first chance I get!

MeaninglessPhoto 06-02-2008 12:45 PM

Its badass dude. I picked up the Live Snakes and Arrows last week. Now, ive loved Rush ever since I was 7 or 8, but damn. Its good to hear songs like Entre Nous and Circumstances, songs that were never played live, being played live.

ace76543 06-02-2008 02:02 PM
you not bothering with micing the toms then? the Rhode nt-5's are pretty decent mics. there's a pair in the studio at college i think.

Who the hell needs tom mics? I get without them just fine :thumb:

Win A Rabbit 06-02-2008 02:17 PM

i ordered stuff from my shop ($10 shipping, cheaper than gas money to drive out there) and they now send a bunch of cool stuff for free with my shipments.

i got some snacks, stickers, catalogs from a bunch of companies, free picks, and a tshirt (xl, way too big) that is packed in the greatest way ever. will get pics of it when i find my camera.

Eh, I'm not longer a fan of the 57 (well, never was). I slightly prefer the Audix i5 for pretty much every application (though they sound very close and are the same price), except maybe a lead guitar amp, though I use other mics for that.

Jonny - All of my other cardioid dynamics run fine with phantom power why would an SM57 be any different?

Tang. 06-02-2008 03:44 PM
