I've had numerous accounts since I first signed up here (www.musicianforums.com era) and nothing has ever changed. This isn't and hasn't been a place where you can come to talk about similar interests of metal and its respectable sub-genres...its always been pointless and mindless arguing over why something doesn't belong in a genre or why album X is better than album Y. I guess that is the basis of a forum, but there are no thought provoking conversations or intelligent statements to back up one's opinion. Just idiotic high-schoolish insults (well, attempts anyway) and *** kissing so somebody doesn't "insult" you for your musical tastes.

It's extremely pathetic that most of you would rather be in some internet clique than to stand on your own.

Deth's comment proves this
I don't need to back up my opinions. They're my opinions, that's all you need to know.

A music forum isn't the place to find "thought-provoking conversations"

masterchaos 05-20-2008 12:45 PM
I didn't even neg you anyway

I'm listening to Destroyer 666 again after too long away from them. It's some good stuff.
I know, but you're comment is what I was talking about.

Stevie, I apologize because I don't mean to post that stuff in this thread. I just see the "quick reply" box and start typing.

Pate, what is the point of introducing your opinion into a conversation at all if you have no interest in backing it up?

no, thats exactly what a music forum should be. a place for chattering your life away is the real world.

"What does Pete Sandoval's drum fill in Immortal Rites mean to me? Well, to me it symbolizes the struggle between lower class African immigrants and their overbearing masters......"

All this is is comparing opinions. Backing up an opinion is usually done with.....and opinion.

"I don't like that album. The guitars are bad"

"Well I like that album. The guitars are good"

"Mallcore"

All are opinions.

Deth 05-20-2008 12:51 PM

There are far fewer accusations of mallcore around nowadays.

Stevie II 05-20-2008 12:52 PM

thats one extreme to another pate

oi. I leave because this forum has gone to hell. I come back out of random curiosity and low and behold...it continues to wallow in pure faggotry.
Or could you say...Incorrigble Faggotry. :p

And yes, Jon, you are always my buttered chicken eternally.

"What does Pete Sandoval's drum fill in Immortal Rites mean to me? Well, to me it symbolizes the struggle between lower class African immigrants and their overbearing masters......"

You mean I am not the only one?!

No, Stevie is right. Conversation really used to be better here. I have return for just 3 days hoping stuff would have returned to the glory days where I justed pretty much wanted to suck everybodys dick in here for giving me good death metal. Then it just became someone comes in, names something obsurce without discussion which means I can't be arsed looking because I am lazy and people having spam fights (Fights with spam in real life however are highly enjoyable if not smelly)

I remember Stevie (just one example) making some great posts and getting to argue with him in the sprit of good discussion.

However, why the hell is no one excited about the prospect of me seeing BT. And what do you think is their best album and...WHY

For me, its For Victory. Karl really gives the best vocal performance out of all the albums. The drums are spot on and heavy with the fills. The guitar riffs are simple but change enough from mid-paced headbanging to fast thrashing and to low chugging to remain interesting. Really, the album just creates that war machine atmosphere. favoirite track = Rememberance.

Deth 05-20-2008 03:05 PM

I really like Those Once Loyal. Obviously every album shreds far too much anyway. Favorite track?

I agree. I pretty much only come here out of nostalgia now. My true death discussions occur elsewhere tbh

Long gone are the days of the Baphomet Horde, even if my user title says otherwise.
Taste-wise this forum owns most.
No one likes Brain Drill, Devourment etc. On other sites I go on there's always retarded stereotypical shitheaded metalheads who like **** like that.

Dimmu Burger 05-20-2008 03:15 PM

I like Brain Drill.

RetiredAt21 05-20-2008 03:15 PM

Devourment is incredibly boring.

You pretty much just summed up every Devourment song. That could pass for a lot of other band's stuff, too.

Aakon_Keetreh 05-20-2008 03:51 PM

That can pass for about almost every brutal death metal band

It's not that bad. Not much different than a lot of tech death that people listen to on here.

Yes it is. Brain Drill is what it'd sound like if the Looney Tunes started a death metal band.

Dimmu Burger 05-20-2008 05:11 PM

Lol I like cartoon metal.

You're Australian yes? Where would you be seeing them? I am intrigued.
