I still can't believe how young you all are.
Nobody thinks I'm 14, it's pretty funny.

PinkFreud 02-22-2005 03:21 PM
123. I can't believe I'm 18 and I'm one of the elder statesmen of the thread.
im 17, almost 18.
Whoa, I just downloaded Beck's Bolero (on recommendation of someone, think it was Badmoon), and it kicks ***.
yeah man, the start of heavy metal and all that. plus, you can hear keith moon scream in the middle and hit a drum mic, breaking it so that you can't hear the drum through the rest of the song.
I am 14.
As am I

Broken Arrow 02-22-2005 03:37 PM

As am I.

Woodstock 02-22-2005 03:44 PM

I'm 15.

I bought:

Jefferson Airplane-Surrealistic Pillow
The Stooges-s/t

I wasn't sure if I should've gotten Fun House, since it was there also.
The Byrds - My Back Pages
Any samples?

Badmoon 02-22-2005 03:55 PM
I also picked up Old & In The Way for those of you who don't know much about them it's Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Peter Rowan, Vassar Clements, and John Kahn. It's an awesome bluegrass CD.
They come up a bunch.
Whoa, I just downloaded Beck's Bolero (on recommendation of someone, think it was Badmoon), and it kicks ***.
That wasn't a recommendation by me. I don't even have that album.
Any samples?
Maybe in a little while.

It's on Truth.

Badmoon 02-22-2005 04:06 PM
It's on Truth.
Well, I hardly listen to Truth.

It was not me

unclebobscircus 02-22-2005 04:23 PM

Someone was talking about Beck's Bolero earlier... heh, I listened just to hear that Keith Moon thing, funny.

Wolverton 02-22-2005 04:30 PM

You can't go wrong with Skynyrd and Zepplin.

Don't feel bad, I'm 19.

Illmatic 02-22-2005 06:15 PM

You are? I'm going to be 19 in August.

Where do you go to college?

lunch998 02-22-2005 06:17 PM

I'm 16, but at least I'm not a freshman.

/looks at JPJ, Livewired, Stock, and other assorted freshmen.

You were a freshman once, so I don't wanna hear it.
You were a freshman once, so I don't wanna hear it.
Everyone always says that as a retort. All that matters is that I'm not one now, while you are.
You were a freshman once, so I don't wanna hear it.
The standard freshman comeback.

We took our lumps when we were freshmen (well, I didn't, when you play sports in high school it's easier...but some of my friends took their lumps), so you shouldn't expect an easy ride.

Woodstock 02-22-2005 06:34 PM

I think it's more depressing when 18 and 19-year-olds post on internet forums filled with little boys...

How so?

I'm in college in the middle of nowhere and I don't have a car. If I can kill a few hours a day talking about music online, I don't see a problem.

Glitterati 02-22-2005 06:39 PM

I'm 15, 16 in November.

I played Soccer my freshman year and made friends with all the cool sophomores. That put me on the fast track.

Football and basketball make people like you even more, from my experience.

I have a ton of sophomore friends, and some junior friends. Sports don't make you any more popular at my school.

classic rock is cool.

Don't you live in Canada? In the States, sports help a lot in the popularity department.

Yea but all the cool white kids at my school played soccer. You're probably right.

jpj 02-22-2005 06:47 PM

lolCanadalol

There actually isn't much freshmen hatred here, at least people don't show it. But my brother said it was really bad when he was a freshman.

Badmoon 02-22-2005 06:48 PM

I'm very close to some of my brother's friends, who I have known for years and are seniors. So, I don't usually have problems.

Plus I carry a tomahawk ;)
