Well, I ought to have a lot of credits at the end of this year, I'm taking all required or stuff needed to fulfill elective courses...

PaulSimonon 11-03-2004 03:09 PM
If your up for it try to get honors and AP classes. You get better and more credits.
I'm in one honors class.... Taking more next year...

fatbandit 11-03-2004 03:10 PM

I understand precisely none of this...

bottlerocket 11-03-2004 03:13 PM

Yeah, I'm in all honors/AP classes and I'm getting serious recognition. I got a letter from Brown, and another from Princeton. I've gotten a bunch of invitations for "the top students in the US" and BS like that.

Put it this way: A B- in honors physics looks better than an A in college prep. physics (which is what my school's lowest class). A B+ in AP United States History looks better than an A in honors US History...

Maybe it's an American thing.... I have no idea...

fatbandit 11-03-2004 03:15 PM

Definitely an American thing. I'm doing GCSEs in England, and it doesn't seem this complicated over here...

Tryxx 11-03-2004 03:19 PM

It's not complicated really. There's doing it, or there's doing it BETTER.

PaulSimonon 11-03-2004 03:20 PM

We have GEQ's and SAT's and bunches of standardized tests and crap and credits......

Tryxx 11-03-2004 03:21 PM

Vote Nader! He's against standardized test and exit exams!

bottlerocket 11-03-2004 03:21 PM

123, there's a political forum for a reason.

Tryxx 11-03-2004 03:27 PM
Is Nader against the MX Rep system too?
Of course. Nader will rule with his fuzzy fist of furry!

*Hugs a tree*

Oh...and this isn't politics, this is me being a radical hippy.

EDIT: I'll stop...

PaulSimonon 11-03-2004 03:27 PM

Maybe I'm Nader? I dissapprove of standardized testing, dislike the rep system, and think legalizing marijuana is a good idea (No, I don't smoke it. It would help with the deficit by lowering the amount of money put into stopping drugs).

Wintermute 11-03-2004 03:28 PM

How do you feel about enforcing vegetarianism?

Tryxx 11-03-2004 03:29 PM

I was a vegetarian for a week once, but I like beef jerky way too much.

fatbandit 11-03-2004 03:30 PM

Doesn't like marijuana... enforcing vegetarianism....

Heyyy! Is Nader sXe?

Spaceman Spiff 11-03-2004 03:30 PM

if drugs were made legal, stores could sell them, then government could tax them and make money off of them.
they have nothing to gain by spending however much money to keep them illegal and all that.

FUNKNBASS 11-03-2004 03:32 PM
How do you feel about enforcing vegetarianism?
I hate the idea, its a persoanl choice not a public mandate.

That's my point exactly. It would help with the budget deficet Bush got us into.

PaulSimonon 11-03-2004 03:38 PM
How do you feel about enforcing vegetarianism?
Hungry

Tryxx 11-03-2004 03:41 PM

I can understand enforcing vergatarianism, but only for people who are at least 30% overweight...like 90% of our population...

FUNKNBASS 11-03-2004 03:42 PM

^^^ Hey french fries and potoato chips dont use animals so that wouldnt be that effective. People just need to get off thier asses, you can get fat on jello if you sit there all day.

fatbandit 11-03-2004 03:44 PM

Oh, and Britain is no longer the fattest EU country. We rule! (We're no less fat, its just that other people have eaten more pies recently...)

Spaceman Spiff 11-03-2004 03:45 PM

meat=protein=muscle (unless you just sit on your ass all day and never do anything)

fatbandit 11-03-2004 03:46 PM
you can get fat on jello if you sit there all day.
Ever bought a pack of jelly cubes and eaten them? Strong flavour, sugar high and sickness, coupled with it not wanting to come out the other end again. 32p well spent.

Accentopus 11-03-2004 03:46 PM

FUNKNBASS start yours, it sounds better.

FUNKNBASS 11-03-2004 03:47 PM
http://dictionary.reference.com/search?q=Honour

I see nothing in that definition that means you must do compulsory military service which you don't agree with.
Off course not, but that's the point, a man of honor would fight for his country, because it has protected, feeded, cared and given him a live, and although he may not agree with it, it's his duty, it's the price he pays for living in a democracy where the thruth is what the majority wants, and where the majority is represented by the government.

It's like if your brother calls you in the middle of the night telling you he had an accident and needs your help, and you simply say "well, you see, I really do not believe in going out at nights, it's a mistake, so I just won't help you".

I don't want to iniciate a debate over this, but IMO it is an honourable thing to fight for your country.

  feeded...

But America isn't a democracy...it's a republic. :amaze:

We got off that topic. I won't post anymore of my views on that (again, FUNKN and I agree: there's a political forum for a reason).
