I go out of my way to look as disinterested as possible when I'm near the manga aisle

it would just hurt me too much for anyone to think otherwise
I don't like to walk by the manga aisle because it's always full of Asians. Stereotypes are based on real stuffs but it just hurts my heart to see that. And it's never cool Asian kids who are sit on the floor and read manga at bookstores, it's always nerdy Asians with cargo shorts and sandals and Initial D t-shirts.

samariah 05-07-2008 03:59 PM

im looking for some noisy industrial punk besides big black

Liebensaft 05-07-2008 04:00 PM

The weather finally improved. And now I'm dying on public transport. :(

dei 05-08-2008 11:58 AM

Public transport is the best.

samariah 05-08-2008 12:34 PM

almost, bikes are better

asdf 05-08-2008 12:42 PM

I do enjoy a good bike ride.

samariah 05-08-2008 12:44 PM

i enjoyed a good one yesterday. even though i flew off my bike 5 minutes into it and tore up my clothing. actually that made it better

asdf 05-08-2008 12:46 PM

I wasn't able to bike yesterday because I couldn't find my keys all day. I couldn't even move my bike out of the rain.

samariah 05-08-2008 12:54 PM

:(.

i ride a very mildly rusted piece of crap old mountain bike so i guess it doesn't matter if it gets wet. it was a great ride though. beautiful weather and the scenery around here (its amish farmlands) is seemingly untouched for the most part. checked out a supposedly haunted farmhouse (tried to break in, didn't work). i love riding past other "serious" bikers on their 1000 dollar bikes and knowing at least i have the excitement of not knowing whether my bike is going to fall apart before the end of the ride. ok im exaggerating. really hardly anyone bikes around here aside from the serious athletes you see occasionally

asdf 05-08-2008 01:00 PM

my bike is not that old but already really rusty from neglect. I also own a couple of oldschool schwinns, both of which I garbage picked. One's from the 60's and is a beautiful blue and chrome 5 speed. The other is an 80's pink caliente that is in excellent shape. I might be selling the 80's one pretty soon.

I also have a bunch of scrap bikes that I was intending to build a tallbike out of, but none of them are really compatable.

awesome. i should go garbage picking for bicycles

pixiesfanyo 05-08-2008 01:04 PM

it would certainly raise your indie cred.

samariah 05-08-2008 01:05 PM

well thats the only reason i would do it

asdf 05-08-2008 01:08 PM

I was just lucky to find two working condition schwinns. The blue one probably functioned better before I messed with it, honestly. The Caliente I'm selling for probably 60 dollars. I could likely get more, but it's for a friend of a friend.
