AA-12 08-03-2008 10:30 AM

i could do that

then again i could do with any girlfriend right now

Tyr 08-03-2008 10:31 AM

A girlfriend would be nice.

Riva 08-03-2008 10:32 AM

I don't mind my work. I'm hanging out for when I graduate from Uni though. Can't wait to start working out at the mines.

Tyr 08-03-2008 10:33 AM

You must be pretty close to finishing your thesis now, Jason.

Riva 08-03-2008 10:35 AM

Nah, my Uni stuffed up the number of credits that I had so I am stuck with another 6 months of undergraduate study before I can start by Honours research project/work out at a minesite.

Does anyone know why Firefox 3.0.1 is such a memory hog that also slows down or freezes randomly (at least once an hour though). I thought this version was supposed to fix those little problems.

Tyr 08-03-2008 10:38 AM

That sucks. Are you taking more Chemistry or Geology?

Riva 08-03-2008 10:39 AM

Geology. I've exhausted the Chem I can study without going back to do 2nd year subjects, unfortunately.

That happened to me when 3 first game out. After updating it doesn't crash much at all now.

It still takes 500mb of memory normally though but I don't mind.

Tyr 08-03-2008 10:41 AM

Geology is more fun anyways, and you know it!

Riva 08-03-2008 10:44 AM

I might try looking for updates now then. Are you still living in Florida?
Geology is more fun anyways, and you know it!
Hehe, not when you're studying structural geology and dealing with stereonets. :(

Motown 08-03-2008 10:46 AM

firefox has never crashed for me

Tyr 08-03-2008 10:47 AM

I suck at Chem, so I'd still take Geology.

Riva 08-03-2008 10:49 AM

It'd be awesome if I could get placement in Sweden for 6 months or more working at the mines up north.

AA-12 08-03-2008 10:54 AM

:(
Sure am. I doubt i'll be moving anytime soon.

Tyr 08-03-2008 10:56 AM
It'd be awesome if I could get placement in Sweden for 6 months or more working at the mines up north.
Yeah. It would be doubly beneficial for you. You could improve your Swedish at the same time, for free. Or you could be stuck all alone out in the fells prospecting uranium.

the2stranger 08-03-2008 12:00 PM

Howdy.

How's stuff folks?

Txus 08-03-2008 12:05 PM
Was it a local band?
Yup, pretty good stuff.

Stevie V 08-03-2008 12:06 PM
firefox has never crashed for me
its not unusual to have firefox crash and say restore old session or start a new one

i suppose you dont go to dodgy pr0n sites

Tyr 08-03-2008 12:08 PM
Yup, pretty good stuff.
Cool. I should go to more shows with local bands.

RiceMonster 08-03-2008 12:08 PM

Firefox doesn't really crash on me either. If it ever ****s up, it's because of Flash.

Oh, and Firefox 3 wasn't suppose to solve crashing issues on Firefox 2, it's not a bugfix release in itself. That's what release like 3.0.1 or whatever are for.

Txus 08-03-2008 12:21 PM

firefox is kewl.

Bjorn: Yup, I've been going to lots of local gigs lately, they have some good bands around here. Especially Reggae bands.

the2stranger 08-03-2008 12:57 PM

Man.
I'm tired. :(
And I need to work tomorrow.

Kingofdudes 08-03-2008 01:01 PM

Its my day off, and I got to mow the lawn :(

the2stranger 08-03-2008 01:02 PM

I worked in the garden yesterday.

Mowing isn't that bad, getting out all the weeds and other ****, that sucks. :(

Tyr 08-03-2008 01:03 PM
firefox is kewl.

I don't think I could survive through a whole reggae show.

Txus 08-03-2008 01:06 PM

Well, if you're high you would. Plus, lots of cute chicks go to reggae shows here.

Motown 08-03-2008 01:08 PM

i saw a really bad reggae band a couple years ago that pretty much played the same song for an hour but it felt a lot longer than that

Tyr 08-03-2008 01:09 PM

From what I've seen here, the chicks aren't cute enough for me to pay for a reggae show.

Txus 08-03-2008 01:10 PM

Yeah, there's some pretty bad **** too. I saw a very good Dub band a while ago, they played some King Tubby covers at the end which were pretty ace.

Bjorn: I don't pay :p

Tyr 08-03-2008 01:15 PM

If I didn't have to pay, I might consider it.

Stevie V 08-03-2008 01:16 PM

gmoneyguy 08-03-2008 01:17 PM

he is over 9,000

carbombsandconversations 08-03-2008 01:32 PM

it's over 9000*

gmoneyguy 08-03-2008 01:39 PM

thanks for the pointless correction.

Txus 08-03-2008 01:47 PM

I'm eating cold pizza and listening to some awesome dark ambient.

That picture reminds me, I haven't seen DB in forever.

gmoneyguy 08-03-2008 01:48 PM

I'm listening to that BM band you suggested

Nepenthe 08-03-2008 01:49 PM

haha, i never watched dbz as a kid (i was a pokemon/batman kinda guy), but that live action dbz movie thats coming out looks ****ing hilarious

Txus 08-03-2008 01:50 PM

Are you liking it?

132WalrusesInMexico 08-03-2008 03:03 PM
How far away does she live?
She lives in Germany and I live in the United States. It sucks and is really tough but the time that we get to spend together is so amazing. I plan on moving to Germany after I finish school.

We've been together for 2 years, one of which she was here in the US. I've been there to visit her once.

Nostalgia 08-03-2008 03:44 PM

So I saw the new Mummy last night and walked out 30 minutes in. That may have been the worst movie I've seen in years... worse than Dungeon Siege.
