yeah, it takes a while to get used to the vocals and the shitty production. Im not a metalhead myself, but i find some BM bands like emperor, dimmu borgir (yeah i know theyre not tr00, but w/e) are excellent

I can see that. But then again I'm not some top 40, pop music listener who usually make claims like that. I listen to plenty of different genres and everything I've listened to that gets associated with the word "metal" I've just never been into.

Metal rules, preferablly brutal death metal. Then Thrash, then sludge, black, then doom. Then the other genres suck a[size="2"]s[/size]s.
