I've already had them on and off, about five years ago. I got double owned by braces.
That's gay... :upset:

How could you have braces for 4 years?! Christ, i only had them on for less than a year, 11 months...
And mine were in a terrible state before i had them. Took no time at all to straighten out.

NJMetalMeister 08-01-2005 08:58 AM
I went down town today in the morning. It was hot as hell and black clothes absorb the heat even more. I came home all sweat. I almost died.
Welcome to my life. Every day in new jersey during the summer is like walking out into the sun! Germany had much nicer summer weather. Cloudy and 25ish each day, as opposed to blazing sun and 35ish every day.

Temperature is hella hot today, im going to atlantic city to see a bunch of comedians and lose a bit of cash. Maybe i can find a place in AC that has Bulmers Cider though, as there is no better way to spend a hot day :D

Yes, I've been wondering that too. Could you please ask my orthodontist?

Are your teeth the wrong way round or something?
I would ask him if he was anywhere near where i was?

clearvision 08-01-2005 09:00 AM

I had braces for 3 years from 11-14, now my wisdom teeth have caused my jaw to crush and the dentist says i need them for another 2 yrs, though its my choice...My teeth aren't that bad, I just can't bring myself to get them again, It will look ghey when I'm @ uni with braces I think...

It really is. You can't even imagine just by looking at the pictures; it's so much better.

Good morning, R&M!

Firecracker 08-01-2005 09:02 AM

I find the retainer afterwards the annoying thing..

Firecracker 08-01-2005 09:02 AM

I was listening to CoB - Taste My Scythe yesterday. :p

magicbus 08-01-2005 09:05 AM

I had braces for 4 years. 4th to 8th grade, luckily I got them off before high school.

My teeth were all growing in incorrectly, and I had an overbite. Go figure. But, I'm glad they were off before high school, or else that would really piss me off.

So I had to travel to Edinburgh again to sort out my Railcard and such and on my customary CD stores checks I picked up:

Dog Eat Dog - Play Games(£3.99)
Steve Vai - Fire Garden (£3.99)
Mr. Bungle - Disco Volante (£4.99)

I also got horribly lost in John Lewis for around half an hour :upset:

Yes, but we do something about it.

Firecracker 08-01-2005 09:13 AM

Ah ace thanks ollie.

And we also do something about it. But only recently.

EDIT: 10,000 posts for me, adding to my other account that is.

Thats NOTHING. I had orthadontal work for 12 years total, starting at age 6.

I had to wear this thing called a Bionator (sounds like a superhero, but it just sucks) from the age 6 to 9 to pull my bottom jaw out because i had an overbite that would make freddy mercury jealous, then after that i had to wear normal braces for 2 and a half years, then after that i had to spend 3 years wearing braces with headgear while i slept, then another year and a half of normal braces again, but with a thicker bracing wire. Then the rest of the time til i went off to college i had to wear retainers round the clock.

Ugh.

Taste_My_Scythe 08-01-2005 09:39 AM

wow. That's really bad. I had a bad braces experience too. I had them on painfully for a long time; including top and bottom retainers that were cemented on. Had to stick a little key thing in the retainers to turn them to make my jaw wider or something. Hurt like hell. Then I had to have my wisdom teeth removed so that they could finish the braces. Removing them was fine, but when it came time to take the stitches out, the nurse stuck a fucking huge pair of steel scissors in my mouth to cut them up. Couldn't eat properly for a month.

Lord Abortion 08-01-2005 09:41 AM

I'm attempting to get the forest download and get the vocals recorded

I had tea and crumpets just now... took me 10 minutes to dig them out of the toaster

Taste_My_Scythe 08-01-2005 09:43 AM

I prefer scones to crumpets.

Well thats normal for having wisdom teeth removed. I had to have mine taken out as well, but before they came in, so basically for a month i lived off of jello pudding. And while i do like Jello Pudding, almost 5 years later i still cant even look at it right again, i just consumed TOO much, and it also caused my soul to be posessed by bill cosby, eating the pudding.

Edit: As far as tea goes, doesnt matter to me if its scones, crumpets, biscuits, or whatever, if i can dip it in the tea and make it taste terrific, then im sold.

Arucard 08-01-2005 09:43 AM

I had a ghey powercut. I hate them.

But now i am listening to Break The Silence and chilling out. Joe = Melodic Hardcore whore.

I also had braces/retainer for three years, but at least it helped my teeth.

Taste_My_Scythe 08-01-2005 09:44 AM

 Well, actually now they have the disintegrating stitches, so you don't have to remove them or anything.

I don't like how when something painful happens to you physically, people tell you to shovel jello down your throat. I hate jello, and wouldn't eat it if I liked it.

Lord Abortion 08-01-2005 09:51 AM

ah...I now have a system recording to work off... so I will be back

Shattered_Future 08-01-2005 10:04 AM

Isn't jello made out of horsehooves though?

I had braces for 2 years...got them off recently, 3-4-5 months ago (i think...). Instead of getting a retainer, i got this thing that looks like a goddam mouthguard...it's unbelievably irritating.

Haven't worn it in a month. :)
