I emailed precision drums for a quote on some finished 18" bass hoops. (just a natural finish with a clearcoat)...this is what i got back. Jason, Two unfinished 18" hoops would cost $78 delivered. With clear polyurethane $175 Best regards, Gary So basically they're telling me that applying a clearcoat to two bass drum hoops will cost an extra $100? LOL no thx. I'll just buy some finish from Canadian tire...ridiculous. |
Yay! B'day presents came a good deal early (three weeks?)

Yeah man..
...Actually it's not something I would ordinarily wear; I'm not really that bulky. |

Oh right haha. I've now read up on the terminology and more apt names are Vest, Singlet, or A-Shirt.
|
or wifebeaters, but when i think wifebeaters i think of cigarette burns and random stains.
my mm4 came today (<18 hours shipping from the other side of the country, pwn) and i went to the post office to pick it up but the girl was like "umm it's probably in this bag but i haven't gone through it. you can come back later" and i was all "but there's only like 5 boxes in there can you just go through them and find the one with my name on it?" and then i found out post office people are grumpy and now i have to go back after work to pick it up. |

...what version of English uses those? I've never heard any of 'em. At first when you said tank-top I thought the same as the chick version..I dunno what you call 'em for guys usually, besides wifebeaters. Sleeveless shirts? |

Tbh, I'd have called what you posted either a tanktop or vest. |
When I hear 'vest' I either think
or [For lack of a better picture]. The English language is dumb. |
The girly tank tops are technically camisoles...
I really f'd my neck up. |
High visibility jacket.

Waistcoat. |
Tank top seems to be the name for a 'wifebeater' here. Usually a wifebeater is small thin white or grey undershirt type thing without sleeves.

It's weird that every time I hear anybody IRL attempt to explain American History X to someone who's never seen it, the two main points that are brought up are the curb scene and the buttrape scene...
And today, as I was explaining it to a friend, I did exactly the same thing... PG Wodehouse. |

So there's a "music" shop opening a few blocks down from me in a few days. I'm actually not sure yet if they're gonna have drums or not, but if they do that'll be sweet. Someone at school told me it's a "guitar" shop though, so that could really suck if they don't at least let me order drum stuff.
Walking distance > 2 hour drive (how long it takes me to the next closest music shop) |
<3living close to a drum shop

Walking distance > 2 hour drive (how long it takes me to the next closest music shop)
they'll probly have at least a small selection of drum stuff. They may not carry much stuff to try out but you'll be able to order stuff in. |
yea, i figure as long as they're a "music shop," I can order stuff I want. and if I become a regular, they might start stocking the sticks I use or something.
but my guitarist friend said it's a "guitar shop," so hopefully he was just being an average guitarist and ignoring the other instruments. :p |
yeah i ****ing hate guitarists sometimes
