well according to the interview with the chick who heard the album, it's not obviously progressive, but comes across more heavy
Well, if it's not progressive really that's fine. I just hope it dosen't run itself into the ground by repeatition

crag 07-08-2006 05:54 AM

All Wolfsbane has been sent:)

The X-Factor is an awesome album, my favourite song is either The Aftermath or Look For The Truth.

GurS 07-08-2006 06:04 AM

for me, the x-factor is so very, very, samey... the first three songs, blood on the world hands & the unbeliever are the only ones that sound different to the other songs (well, jdugement from heaven too, but that's really just a really poor, cheesy song IMO).

the_uber_penguin 07-09-2006 04:54 AM

I've just been rehearsing a new song I wrote with my band. The song's called "Black Swan". I didn't notice how much it sounds like Out Of The Silent Planet in places...

In other news, my band's album is being released (mail order) on the 17th! W00t!

(Is it just me, or have these forums been down for about two weeks?)

Mr_Bounce 07-09-2006 06:42 AM

Lord of the Flies is amazing on the DoTR DVD...

Everyone has.

Server problems.

Lord Abortion 07-12-2006 04:33 AM

Hehe..."male order"

Surtr 07-12-2006 06:01 AM

I love the lights on Lord Of The Flies DotR.

I like the Blaze era stuff, just not as much as other Maiden. It tends to come across as almost a totally different band to me. It's like another band, with Maiden ('Arry) influences.

Josh 07-12-2006 07:57 AM

14th August is my gf's b-day, maybe i should buy her the single.... lol.
Maiden are to do a US / Canada Tour in October, that's where this year's tour's gonna start...

Stormrider 07-12-2006 08:52 AM

Hmm, I want to go when they come here. Maiden are one of those bands you have to see live in your life. No matter how much you like them.
I like Man On The Edge a lot. I love the energy. Am I the only one who never really liked the Edge Of Darkness?

/hasn't posted here in ages.
The edge of darkness has to be one of my all time favorite maiden songs, best song on the X factor IMO (SotC comes really really really close).

Anyway, even if you didnt ask and i know your email, you will probably have wolfsbane's 'massive noise injection' in your inbox right now.

EDIT: I just found out the track names are all switched on the album, but i trust you all can look at 'www.planetblaze.com' for the track listing to 'massive noise injection.

Same, I'll probably get to the Montreal or Quebec City gigs this year with a mate of mine.

We're contemplating doing all the Canadian shows (As long as they're all in the east and it won't kill school work.

Quiksilver26 07-13-2006 08:38 AM

Anyone know of any confirmed dates for this US/Canada tour at all?

Surtr 07-13-2006 10:53 AM

Nothing yet.

We're waitin' on it, though it's supposedly this fall

rik 07-13-2006 10:55 AM

Has anyone recieved their tickets yet for any of the UK gigs?

the_uber_penguin 07-13-2006 12:23 PM

No. I don't think they send them out until a week or two before the gig. Makes it harder for us to accidentally lose them, and means that they can just batch print them.

crag 07-13-2006 02:10 PM

I haven't got mine yet but i'm getting them in a rather unorthodox way.

Buying them from a scalper (sp?????)

Or perhaps YOUR STEVE

And that means your going to be at the show, which means you'll have tickets..but in an unorthodox way..

the_uber_penguin 07-13-2006 05:37 PM

Maybe he just nicked them...or won them...or somehow got them for free.

Hmm...wish I was the support band. Might call Sanctuary tomorrow and ask if I can support Iron Maiden on one of the London gigs...

Surtr 07-13-2006 05:44 PM

Can I join your band if you do?? lol

And no, he's deffinatly Steve.

You'd be better than Bullet for my Wankstain.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-14-2006 02:12 AM

I got Somewhere In Time from the library today, it's quite good.

From the library?? You can't get Maiden albums from the library??

Crazy.

And yeah, it's an awesome album.

Apocalyptic Raids 07-14-2006 03:19 AM

Yeah they have loads of Maiden.

I've got Obituary and Death albums from there too.

Surtr 07-14-2006 03:21 AM

That's...crazy lol.

At my library you can get..outdated books from the 70's. And movies on bird watching?

Suuure, that's what it is..Steve ;)

:p

Just kiddin'.

I wish they'd release the North American tour dates.

Quiksilver26 07-14-2006 01:50 PM

^ Yeah me too.. I also wanna see how expensive they are, considering how i'm rather low on money at the moment, and also want to see Blind Guardian in November. I don't want to go spending all my Maiden money on that ticket to only find out I don't have enough for the other :(

6stringed 07-14-2006 01:55 PM

I hate hot having money or not enough
when a concert is coming and you
want to go so bad.

And its probably gonna happen again for
Iron Maiden
