about it

biografiend 03-20-2006 09:53 PM

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Zappa 03-20-2006 09:57 PM

You're both banned.

Zappa 03-20-2006 10:19 PM

Hah, I've banned a few. Not that many.

I just bought an analog synth on eBay. A Roland Juno-106 at $358. I'm excited, and kind of alarmed both that I won the auction (placing my bid about 40 seconds from the end), and that I so impulsively bought a new instrument. I hope it's something I use a lot.

Zmev 03-20-2006 10:36 PM

I hope you have $358.

How impulsively did you buy it? I hope you didn't see it, place the bid and win. You read the details, info, fine print, yea? Anyway, record some tunes with it and post em. :)

JonM 03-20-2006 10:51 PM

Wrote another song today. We're really moving quickly.

Heh, nah it wasn't THAT impulsive. I've been watching this particular auction for a couple days, and have been researching the instrument and watching auctions for price for a couple months, I suppose.

It's just that I've never played one, or any analog synth for that matter, so I might not like it all that much.

I've always wanted one, but I don't really have the cash to spend. Going off to college soon + current expenses. The only thing I've really had close to that is just an online mixing program, and I usually get frustrated/confused with those. So...in summation, if you don't dig it, send it on over to me.

Little Man being Erased 03-21-2006 12:12 AM

I just made a very brief stop in R&M and without even entering a single thread remembered why I never go in there.

br3ad_man 03-21-2006 01:26 AM

It's really boring in there. There's some cool people, but in general it's just real boring.

Little Man, have you ever seen The Night Crash live?

I am starting to dislike girls again. I think I'll listen to Pinkerton.

Little Man being Erased 03-21-2006 01:41 AM

I don't seem to recall having seen them. That doesn't necessarily mean that I haven't seen them, it just means I can't remember it if I have. Why's that?

Pinkerton rules.

br3ad_man 03-21-2006 01:45 AM

They're playing with your brother's band in a few weeks and I'm going.

Little Man being Erased 03-21-2006 01:46 AM

Sweet as. Have fun, man.

Last weekend, it was around 70 degrees. Today, there is 3.5 inches of snow on the ground, and is a snow day.

I love Illinois.

Hmm, lately around here it's been a heatwave in the 30s, 40s, and even 50s! There are still feet of snow on the ground.

ATM 03-21-2006 10:39 AM

I downloaded a few bootlegs last night, by Andrew Bird, Elliot Smith, Against Me!, My Morning Jacket, and the Mountain Goats.

Glitterati 03-21-2006 11:38 AM
I just made a very brief stop in R&M and without even entering a single thread remembered why I never go in there.
Yeah, I usually just go there for the classic rock thread. Power metal isn't really my thing.

Ugh....I had really weird sleep patterns last night. I went to bed early, and tossed and turned all night. I woke up a little before one, and found I was soaked in sweat, and my sheets had been destroyed. Then I lay there with my discombobulated sheets for about three hours until I fell back asleep. I have weird sleep patterns.

biografiend 03-21-2006 12:00 PM

^ That sucks. I hate when I don't sleep well. I have a stash of benadryl that usually come in handy when things like that happen.

FA 03-21-2006 12:06 PM

I have the craziest sleep patterns too. Some nights I'll sleep sound, and others I'll stay up till 4 in the morning wide awake, tossing in my bed. It sucks...quite a lot.

Kyle 03-21-2006 03:11 PM
I'll stay up till 4 in the morning wide awake, tossing in my bed.
really?

...I should grow up some time.

sweboy 03-21-2006 03:13 PM

Oi, what's the character name of that black player with the nice 'fro in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels? You know, he goes all mad when he doesn't get his ganja.

Glitterati 03-21-2006 03:40 PM

Oh damn. I know exactly who you're talking about, but my mind just went totally blank.

br3ad_man 03-21-2006 03:56 PM

Maths exams today.

Awesome movie.

Zmev 03-21-2006 04:41 PM

Belle and Sebastian/New Pornographers in 5 1/2 hours

Ok who else agrees that word getting filtered is getting ridiculous

Glitterati 03-21-2006 04:51 PM

Belle & Sebastian, eh? Me = jealous++.

I'm bored. I think I might do a review of the latest Iggy Pop album.

Zmev 03-21-2006 04:58 PM

MIllions in Prizes?

Glitterati 03-21-2006 05:04 PM
MIllions in Prizes?
Yeah, that.

Zmev 03-21-2006 05:16 PM

Uh are best of's the best things to be reviewed?

Glitterati 03-21-2006 05:21 PM

Maybe not, but meh.

I'm interviewing Youth Group by email tonight. Does anyone have any questions they'd like me to ask?

Luxor 03-22-2006 12:28 AM

Coo

I saw them play with Death Cab

br3ad_man 03-22-2006 12:44 AM

Yeah I saw them at Big Day Out. They're such a nice and decent band.
