so i just gave The God That Never Was by Dismember a listen since i see a lot of people praise it and man it's really average,i'll try to get into it, is there debut any better?

It's not as melodic, but it's in the same vein.

I would say slightly better, but most people here consider them equals.

LAEFS is infinitely better. If you like death metal you'll like LAEFS.

Meh, that album is boring. The one before it is much more interesting.

agreed. Stench of Redemption is a lot better. Their latest just sounds hollow and lacking in a lot of areas, but its not a complete failure.

I bought Hate Eternal's latest effort as well. So far I really like it.

They were just trying to be all brutal and not worry about melody, whereas the last album had awesome melodies.

Among my other purchases were Origin's [I]Antithesis[/I], ...Of Frost and War's [I]Hail to Bullets[/I], and Death's [I]Individual Thought Patterns[/I]

To say the least I am pleased

I like the new Origin.

I need to look into their earlier works more. The only other album I have of theirs is Echoes of Decimation...which ****ing shreds.

new Origin is fast as hell, that's about it.

I just listened to New Yorkment for the first time. I find it hilarious that a joke band like that is still able to write better songs than Waking the Cadaver.

What is New Yorkment like?

They're just making fun of slam, so obviously it sucks ***, but it's still better than the serious bands of the genre.
