Hmmm, i didnt know that, that makes me respect him more.

I guess he is a very good money maker, he just isnt that great of a fit for metallica musicially.

EDIT : sorry bout the double
All he did was give them a good mix for the first time in their career.

Yes well the recording quality was certainly lacking on there first 4 albums compared to the Rock era. That is one thing that improved.

bomber 03-31-2005 11:39 AM

ok then tata

Kieran69 03-31-2005 11:46 AM

St. Anger is a good album but its no way near as good as thier earlier stuff. the sounds are different, it sound more raw.

PepsiMetal 03-31-2005 12:03 PM

Saint Anger is pretty good. The only thing I dislike is lars used some bad piece of drums or the recording for them sucked. But that was probably their goal to get them to sound like trash cans. Still frantic is pretty good. The intro with drums is pretty intense. Sounds like a bull getting ready to be released.

Kieran69 03-31-2005 12:05 PM

yeah i read that lars used that drum to add a real raw effect to the music, i geuss he did the job.

Endless Obsession 03-31-2005 12:29 PM

Lars can do whatever he wants.*

*bump

Kieran69 03-31-2005 12:38 PM

yeah theres nothin wrong with that effect, st anger is still a good album.

Imagine RHCP and Metallica in the same tour, that would cool and bad at the same time.

Six Foot Revolver 03-31-2005 01:46 PM
Because of all the people who want to be involved this is the deal. Right for all who are interested in the tribute band thang. E-mail me at UKwildheart@gmail.com telling me who you are and what you want to play. There will then be a vote between people to see who gets which part.
Bumped for anybody interested

The only thing i could see going wrong with that is clashes between fans. Other than that it would be great.

lars did rimshots on the snare,he didnt use anything different, everyone seems to think he used some kind of new snare, and he didnt!!!!!!!and yea,the snare did sound like he was hitting a tin can

Jev 03-31-2005 02:26 PM

He tuned it to sound like that and he said he liked the sound and used it for the album. At least that's what i heard.

Endless Obsession 03-31-2005 02:33 PM

He def didnt do all rimshots, cause in some parts u can hear the snare.
