in that case...i would appreciate it if you kept sharp objects above the belt when around me.

Sunshine 05-27-2008 10:27 AM

Not those type of things, silly.

Things in general.
Situation of the now type things.

Panopticon 05-27-2008 10:33 AM

oh okay well fair enough.

but even still...sharp objects stay north of the border.

Sunshine 05-27-2008 10:37 AM

I don't carry sharp objects.

Plus, y'know, you're warning the wrong girl.
I mean, I've never even kicked a guy in the nuts, or contemplated it.
It's too mean :(

Panopticon 05-27-2008 10:55 AM

okay just as long as we're clear.

PS guys.

from some faggot kid at PDF

Hey, guys. I just want to take this time to apologize to you guys.
I recently had a thread about my broken snare reso head, and said I was proud of myself. It really came out the wrong way. I know that breaking gear is NOTHING to be proud of me, but I was kind of shocked that I did that. I mean, when you're my age, sometimes something you broke seems cool at first, like "how did I do that?" But, I'm not really "proud" that I broke my head.
I recently bought a new head, and tuned it properly so that it was tighter than my hot, 7th grade teacher's pants, and I doubt it will happen again. I took your advice, and was more careful this time around.
But, instead of just saying "wow, that's dumb," or "maybe you should be more careful next time you tune," but some of you guys were just rude. And, because of that, I acted really childish and gave 2 people (I think it was two... ) negative rep, and I'm especially sorry to those people. *Guys, as soon as I can, I'll give you some positive rep to make up for it.*

What I'm trying to say is, I understand that it was stupid, and I want you guys to know that I'm sorry for the way I acted. But, maybe (not trying to pin this on you, guys) we should try and give more "constructive" crticism, if we're going to give some (there was some of it from a few people, and I appreciated it). I think we'd have a more peaceful forum if we tried.

Thanks for listening, guys!

Cheers

What's with all the "we"-ing in the second paragraph?

Panopticon 05-27-2008 10:59 AM

i think he thinks that by making suggestions like that, the entire PDF will be less shitty.

Sunshine 05-27-2008 11:02 AM

Eh, still.
I mean, using "we" is one of those reasoning tactics that's taught and things, but that was improperly done.

that explains it.

gimp fest 05-27-2008 11:04 AM

haha, bit of an idiot. did he get some abuse for that aswell?

guyz, im thinking of buying an m birch in fusion sizes, would they cope with playing heavier music until i could afford an add on?

Panopticon 05-27-2008 11:06 AM

better off going for the fusionease setup.

unless you're really set on the 14x11.

The 14x14 will give you more depth and power.

BummerJonny 05-27-2008 11:10 AM

sometimes i think i'd fit in better on pdf...

Static 05-27-2008 11:10 AM

how is he a faggot? he wants the place to be better

oh, what are the fusionease sizes?i thought fusion came with 14x14, my bad.

Panopticon 05-27-2008 11:12 AM

fusion is the same as fusionease except that fusionease comes with a 14x14 whereas the fusion comes with a 14x11.

I wish i went with the fusionease because IMO the jump from 14x11 to 16x16 looks and (more importantly) sounds terrible.

Win A Rabbit 05-27-2008 11:19 AM

its so lame when kids blow at drums but think they're amazing.

a kid at my work just started like 6 months ago and can play the most basic of things pretty poorly. i gave him my copy of advanced funk studies, and he gave it back to me less than a week later saying he finished it and was all "yeah it seemed like that book was aimed at beginners, but i consider myself pretty advanced"

i just want to slap some sense into him and be like "no you suck you need to pull your head out of your *** and actually practice because you really need it"
