Lil’ Bloodred Ridin’ Hood 05-23-2006 05:15 PM

no its not anyones fault except my own,i really need to get a guitar,i was planning on it actually just never did dont know why.But like i said i come on everyday just dont most as much anymore, its ok tho :-)

repcak 05-23-2006 05:17 PM

then go and buy one tomorrow... a cheap guitar for 200€ and an amp for 150€ should be enough for the beginning. thats the price i paid for my equipment.

Just don't get something with Floyd Rose.

Floyd Rose is hell. Plain and simple.

AA-12 05-23-2006 05:47 PM

My whammy pedal > floyd

Shadows 05-23-2006 05:47 PM

It's all personal preference. She should obviously at least play something before she buys it. Personally, I love my FR.

I'm Charming 05-23-2006 05:49 PM

Edit: String Through Body

Shadows 05-23-2006 05:49 PM

I love my fixed bridge too.

AA-12 05-23-2006 05:51 PM

String Through > Fixed Bridge > Floyd Rose IMO

Shadows 05-23-2006 05:52 PM

I love my SR and FR equally I guess. They both feel good, but one stays in tune better while the other is quicker to tune.
String Through > Fixed Bridge > Floyd Rose IMO
err. My bad. I meant string through body. Isn't that the same as a fixed bridge?

Shadows 05-23-2006 05:55 PM

Technically no. I keep calling my SR a fixed too, for some reason.

Nepenthe 05-23-2006 05:57 PM

QFT.

Alright w/e

My Ibanez has string through body. I like that

MRDuCran 05-23-2006 05:57 PM

My knowledge of how to setup a FR > people that don't and fixed bridges.

zomg I'm a witty MXer

Mitch- Any riffs you can reccomend for practising triplets?

Shadows 05-23-2006 06:11 PM

^^ Hourglass! That's the song along with other LoG that boosted my triplets greatly.
I was just lol'ing with you guys, I didn't think it would be taken so seriously. :(

I'm Charming 05-23-2006 06:13 PM

I don't like Hourglass. Well, it's okay.

I've been working on getting that open riff in Raining Blood into triplets. I'd just trem picked it before.

Shadows 05-23-2006 06:14 PM

If you can get Silent night, Bodom Night into triplets like it should be, bravo.

MRDuCran 05-23-2006 06:18 PM

^^YEs!!!!!
zomg I'm a witty MXer

Silent Night, Bodom Night!!!

That main riff, the verse, the lead part are all evenly spaced, accurately placed triplets. Except most people do just trem pick as fast as possible.

Um.

Deadnight Warrior
Towards Dead End intro rhythm
Lamb of God - Laid to Rest
Lamb of God - As the Palaces Burn
Lamb of God - 11th Hour

I wish I had my old hard drive, I could triple the size of that list just by looking through all my powertab/guitar pro files.

I've been messing with the start of Silent Night Bodom Night.

I have a feeling it'll take a lot of practice but it''ll be really worth it.

I already notice a HUGE quality difference and I havn't even come close to perfection.

(the slayer riff). It just sounds MUCh neater and cleaner.

MRDuCran 05-23-2006 06:29 PM

Do you mean even triplets, or triples, as in gallop?

'Cause you asked for triplets, but Raining Blood is a reverse gallop.

AA-12 05-23-2006 06:30 PM

lolol I need to record SN,BN. It's not really that hard.

I was talking about all those things.

What is a reverse gallop and how do I pick that?
