Yeah, shorthand is for IM only. Even then, it's pretty annoying. I had some random person IM me one time. It went something like this:

I'm pretty sure some people do it on purpose just to maintain the "internet chic" status. Because I have a bunch of friends who I know use proper grammar and stuff, but they get on a computer and say "lol, how r u?". It might be laziness, I don't know.

I was in this room with those little red things that attack you, and I shot at them and blew up all the explosives. Now I am stuck in that area. Their is a ladder going down into some water, but I can't find out where to go next.

So I got to talk to my gf on the phone today. I was right, a lot of European guys were at the club trying to bone her. She said a few of them were hot, but for the most part they all wore too much cologne and were too arrogant.

Hello. I think the 4th of July is the most boring holiday of them all. Went swimming today at a resort, slept in the car on the way back, and now I feel like crap. Everyone else is going to see the fireworks tonight; I'm gonna pass. Maybe I'll just put Independence Day (it's MY tradition) to play on the TV and hang out on the board. How's everyone else's holiday?

I got stuck there. Its something about raising the water level, you go into the next room, climb some pipes and turn a nozzle thing.

hello folks, back in from work, so, posting...

I nearly broke my comp though, it was balanced precariously and I knocked it off it's perch, it reset itself and the internet connection disapeared, I turned it off and on again and it returned. my plugins to WMP seem to have been disabled, my msn thing aint showing my NP even though it says it is switched on, how do you replace the plugins?

When you switch your computer off without closing WMP it disables all plugins as a precuation in case they caused the computer to shut down.
Go to Tools > Plug ins and just re-select the ones you want.
