Jaundice 04-05-2010 07:21 PM

Txus 04-05-2010 07:23 PM

I never read Pitchfork :)

Jaundice 04-05-2010 07:27 PM

well that's cool but when the adults start to talk about real, complex music like slipknot and marilym manson just put your headphones in and rock to your madlib , dont embarass yourself

Txus 04-05-2010 07:32 PM

idk mr. weird ive been listening to lots of schulze and soft machine lately i better rock to that instead of madlib, dude is too awkward for me, he is black

lol at calling yourself an adult btw

Jaundice 04-05-2010 07:35 PM

Jaundice 04-06-2010 08:15 PM

i can easily picture it being the type of thing that would make me laugh hysterically constantly throughout

Ventriloquist 04-06-2010 09:00 PM

Meatplow 04-06-2010 09:06 PM

Any of you guys listen to Cold Cave? Prurient playing 80's synth pop basically, really good ****.

Ventriloquist 04-07-2010 04:33 PM

80s pop + distortion NICE. kidding :p Gonna check them out nao.

(Gtalk fag)

I've been researching his discography, there is plenty of stuff I need to check out.

Any Axis Of Perdition fans? (dark ambient/industrial/black metal)

Txus 04-07-2010 06:13 PM

Yeah, I like them. I only have The Ichneumon Method (And Less Welcome Techniques) and Deleted Scenes from the Transition Hospital. I need to get their new one but I've heard it's pretty mediocre. What do you think?

Meatplow 04-07-2010 06:16 PM

are they similar to Mz.412 at all?

In Nomine Dei Nostri Satanas Luciferi Excelsi is good

Abysmill 04-07-2010 06:27 PM

The first cd of Urfe is completely spoken word with dark ambient in the background, the second is mostly spoken word with about 3 actual songs. While the story is entertaining it has very little replay value. The songs are a lot like those on Deleted Scenes (and if I remember correctly there's a bit of clean vocals in one of the songs). All in all, the entire album is good for maybe 1 or 2 listens, afterwards you'll just be picking out the songs. I've only listened to it once in it's entirety while I was playing Chrono Trigger haha.

You can download Urfe and their EP, Physical Illucinations In The Sewer Of Xuchilbara (The Red God), here:

http://albumsofterror.blogspot.com

the EP is awesome btw

Txus 04-07-2010 06:31 PM

Thanks, gonna grab the EP. I doubt I'll like Urfe but I'll check it out regardless later this week.

Meatplow 04-07-2010 11:38 PM

I'll have to check this one out.

Also I need more Nurse With Wound, what should I get? (directed mainly at txus and FatalEnergy)

I have Brained By Falling Masonry and Chance.

Jaundice 04-07-2010 11:40 PM

He did a collobarative album with Whitehouse. It's a concept record about Sade's 120 Days of Sodom.

FatalEnergy 04-08-2010 12:54 AM

Try Homotopy To Marie.

NWW is stuff that is hard for me personally to listen to many times. I like listening to them, and enjoy it, but rarely do I come back to the same album for multiple listens, which is something I really need to do.

FatalEnergy 04-08-2010 02:51 AM

Anyone else like Skin/The World of Skin?

doublepostdoublepostdoublepost

Txus 04-08-2010 07:10 AM

Homotopy to Marie is so good, an essential one for sure. Also get A Sucked Orange which is probably one of the less accesible NWW albums but I'm sure that's not a problem for you, also Chance Meeting on a Dissecting Table of a Sewing Machine and an Umbrella which shares the same story as A Sucked Orange, once you get through the album I'm sure you will want more. And you can also get Spiral Insana, Large Ladies With Cake in the Oven and Salt Marie Celeste, the last one (Salt Marie Celeste) being imo one of the finest drone albums out there.

Meatplow 04-08-2010 07:36 AM

i'm on it, thanks
