Dude, just listen to them. Boring riffs, double bass, breakdowns...pretty standard stuff. And the vocals are boring as ****.

i do listen to them! it sounds a hell of a lot better than most of the metalcore out there. they have better riffs, breakdowns, better vocals then all those other metalcore bands. have u heard any of their new stuff?

Check out Destroy The Runner for a more original version of AILD.


And no offense, Death Before I Stray really aren't that great. Whoever was playing the lead guitar solo-ish riff in the intro seriously needs to learn scales and rhythm.

I would agree. They have some catchy riffs here and there, but the biggest turn off is the vocals which are very monotone and 1 dimentional.

they said in their new album that they wanted to CHANGE it up, so i think they were going for a more thrash oriented sound, trying to stray away from the metalcore label that everyone has on them

I get promos sent to me all the time. I downloaded this one though.

From the little I've listened to of this, it doesnt sound any different than their last albums. Some thrash (who cares) and the vocals are a little better technically speaking, but the singing is way off and the songs feel too long (yet they're only like four minutes).

they're still using mostly verse-chorus-verse right?

I got the new Every Time I Die and August Burns Red from a friend. ETID is good stuff. I like their riffs and vocals. ABR is ok. Pretty generic though.

im still rather excited for the new ASILD album even though theres a lot of hate for them on this thread. i dont know why but besides converge, botch and war of ages, asild are the only metalcore bands i really listen to anymore
