I really really want it.
They tend to be alot easier to find in Australia than in the US/UK because that is where they ship them from, I hear. Magical Mystery Tour is a king's ransom in this hemisphere

Hell yeah. It never was on DVD. The last time it was issued on home video formats was on VHS and Laserdisc in the early 80s. I saw ONE ORIGINAL copy at this movie rental house that has everything....its dated to 1981, and it wasn't in great of shape.

My uncle downloaded a direct Laserdisc rip off the net, so he has a near perfect copy on DVD that he burned himself.

Eh, if he did it right, whitch he probally didn't, he could have pulled it off. Songs such as Helter Skelter had an obvious influence on bands like the Ramones, so if he made it about influnces he could have made a decent thread that would have died within the hour.

GeorgeHarrison 04-17-2005 09:04 PM

Woo hoo Page 100.

Am I the only one in here who loves the drums in Get Back? I mean I know they are nothing special, but its one of the most catchy drum lines I've ever heard.

Sounds like a plan

I have recently been awed by the bassline to "And Your Bird Can Sing"

MalcolmYoungRock 04-18-2005 04:39 PM

/me lives on California grass

At first I thought it said

"Boston, California"

I was like "WTF?"

GeorgeHarrison 04-18-2005 04:47 PM

I am a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuge paul McCartney fan. And i looooove bass. When i have one of my beatles albums in my CD player i always have the Bass Boost on all the way up. In my opinion here is some of his finest work on Bass.

-You Wont See Me
-And Your Bird Can Sing
-Oh! Darling
-Maxwells Silver Hammer
-Ob la Di Ob la Da
-Why dont we do it in the Road? (Did they overdub him playing that bass part, or was it john or george?)
-Your Mother Should Know
-Penny Lane
-Let it be
-Dear Prudence
-And Doctor Robert
I thought George played the solo?
Me too, I think there is photographic evidence

It's so confusing that his name is also someone else's real name. It is as if my screenname were Suzie McKenna or something

GeorgeHarrison 04-18-2005 05:08 PM

Yeh i do play bass. And i love it. Paul McCartney was the reason i started playing. (With some outside influence from Roger Waters)

Me too :D

McCartney would have to be my favorite bassist

Wouldn't you kill for one of those sweet Hofner violin basses?

MalcolmYoungRock 04-18-2005 05:15 PM

My friend has a Rouge violin bass that looks just like it.

That would be my Runner up in my all time favorite basses.

I would Much rather Have an Extremly nice Rickenbaker basses. (Like the one he played during All the Magical mystery tour videos) But a Rickenbaker bass cost like $1,500. Ouuuuuuuuchies.

I dont play bass (but i do come up with basslines on my guitar) but i am saving up for a:
-Banjo
- Violin bodied bass (like Pauls)
- and that funky (Ibanez is it?) white guitar John uses on the roof top.

Sgt._Joker 04-18-2005 07:24 PM

Sgt._Joker 04-18-2005 07:24 PM

MalcolmYoungRock 04-18-2005 07:26 PM
