I'm looking forward to this.
What do you have to look forward to? :p |
^Heh, reading back on my comment, that does seem a little random..But I meant the album. I'm looking forward to Year Zero. That's really all I have to look forward to now...seeing as how Tool was postponed...again!:p
|
I know; I mean to imply that you're basically listening to all of it now, so how can you look forward to it?
:upset: |
^Oh, :upset:
I know...but I can't help it. Actually, I'm not even trying. Ok, I'm looking forward to hearing these songs live then...:p |
So who's in the touring party this time around? Anyone special?
|
This song is my fav so far.
Does anyone else think that 4 leaks already is way too much? I hope it doesn't bollock the whole listening experience. |
This is all very silly. Leaking the songs is one thing, but doing it in the same way every time (people finding USB sticks) is ridiculous.
Does anyone know or know where to get setlists for the current tour? |
Eh at least its an interesting way to do it. Oh and 'Me I'm Not' is now up on there myspace for those who want to listen.
Go here and click on the Tour Journal section it's usually pretty reliable http://www.echoingthesound.org/phpbbx/ |
It completely skipped my mind that i'm seeing NIN on sunday. That, my friends, is a cool realisation.
|
Birmingham, right?
I'll be there! |
I listened to In This Twilight just now, and I've finally come to terms with the fact that this is just by-the-book NIN. Nothing we haven't heard before, really, nothing that exciting or new. Not that the songs aren't good, but I was hoping for more than that.
Birmingham, right?
I'll be there!
Yes indeed strangely psychic person. |
So far I've listened to Me, I'm Not and In This Twilight and they're pretty much undeniably my favorite NIN tracks evar!
Yes, I'm even more psyched about Year Zero now that I've actually heard the songs. :p |
^ For some reason I just can't seem to really get into 'Me, I'm Not'. I do like all the other songs that have been released though.
Anyway, I just finished watching 'Beside You In Time' and all I have to say is wow! That is an awesome live DVD. The sound was great, the visuals were great, camera angles were great. I'm very satisfied to say the least. My only real complaint is that I thought the entire show was filmed from a distance more than anything. One thing I really liked about AATCHB was that the cameras seemed to have caught alot of closeups of the band during performance..not the case this time around. Oh, and I have to admit that the packaging of the dvd was a bit disappointing too. I thought the booklet (if you can call it that) would at least contain a track list, the band, a picture...something, anything. Not a big deal though. Seems like the entire 'With Teeth' era was like this. Plain, simple and straight to the point. Also, no easter eggs! Hehe. I was kinda hoping that maybe the scrapped EDIETS video would show up. Or it would have been awesome had they added the sessions they had with Peter Murphy last year. It was all good though. The rehearsal footage was nice as well. 'Eraser', 'Right Where It Belongs' and 'Beside You In Time' were fantastic! Probably one of my favorite parts of the show...though nothing compares to hearing those three songs live! Very happy with this DVD nonetheless. |
Me, I'm Not is probably my favorite of the four tbh.
I love all of the percussion. Such an odd variety of samples... |
Me I'm Not is the only song I haven't heard (yet).
I'm waiting on a torrent of a DVD rip to show up tbh. I can't spare the money right now. |
Just purchased NIN ticket for May :) Bloody expense too but undenialably worth it. No news on the new set list, eh?

YES news on the new setlists. http://www.echoingthesound.org/phpbbx/viewforum.php?f=17 They have all the setlists from recent shows. |
Ooh Thankyou for that :)
It's good they are doing alot of old stuff too. Apprently they are playing close to two hours for our concert, I'm physced. The norm nowadays seems to be little over half an hr, it's ridiculas. |
I heard the Metro show in Melbourne sold out in record time, a lot of unhappy (unhappier?) people walking around here at the moment....
|
^Myself included, and by the time i had found out about the second show it had sold out too :upset:
|

I think I'm gonna go pick up that new dvd today. I hear it's pretty sweet.
|
I'm getting the new album right now :-D
edit: Saul Williams - guest vocals on "Survivalism" Awesome! double edit: not the album, just 3 songs :-/ |

I do hope they don't do away with The Becoming and We're In This Together now..I'd love to hear either or both songs live! |
