Yeah, Municipal Waste was great. I mean, between crazy-energetic thrash metal and flying couches and Black Cats going off all around, it was great fun. Oh, and the wizard.

Culture Shock 01-20-2006 09:26 PM
Good bands need to play here. I get jealous of you guys talking about sweet shows you're going to.
Have you ever seen Pig Destroyer? You guys always talk about them so I figured that I would check them out when they come here in February.

I am seeing Caustic Christ and Municipal Waste at the end of this month too.

clustifux 01-21-2006 12:04 AM

pig destroyer would be awesome to see...id probally get killed in the pit though.(me being a skinny a$s mother and all)

Brain Toad 01-21-2006 12:30 AM

I don't think they are releated to grind or crust, but since J hangs out here and I'm downloading them from him, I'll ask anyway. Is Superjoint Ritual any good? I'm curious about them as Hank Williams III is their touring bassist.

metal, not grind or crust. Phil Anselmo's (Pantera) latest band. I like it.

Hope I like it. I'm scared of R&M so I'm not going in there.

Feel The Darkness 01-21-2006 12:40 AM

hahaha, dont, people there suck, less it's the Titans of Thrash clan.

Yeah, same here. I always try to avoid pits becuase I would get owned.

clustifux 01-21-2006 10:09 AM

hah..i never pass up a good pit. Im usually in there 95 percent of the time. I passed out from heat exaustion once. woke up about 10 minutes later, saw that the band was playing one of my favorite songs, and went right back in the pit. haha.

Culture Shock 01-21-2006 11:16 AM
Where did you get tour dates?
I didn't. I just saw that shows were posted at local venues.
Oh, and the wizard.
Haha, what was his name? I remember it started with mosh, but I can't remember. Did he read some scroll he had with him?

Subvert_bassist 01-21-2006 12:47 PM

I don't remember his name, either. But yeah, he had a scroll, and a wizard's cane.

Subvert_bassist 01-21-2006 03:21 PM

They're playing Sac, too. I dunno if BORN/DEAD is playing with them here, but I know BORN/DEAD is playing with us in February.

RetiredAt21 01-21-2006 03:27 PM

Who do you guys prefer, Tragedy or His Hero Is Gone? I myself prefer His Hero Is Gone, but only by a very small margin.

To each their own.

Anyways, I was listening to the new Hellshock LP, and GOD DAMN! This record is so fucking awesome. They have yet to dissapoint me, and they were my highlight from going to Chaos in Tejas last summer. Awesome band on record and live. I don't see em mentioned too much in here, so check em out!
