People wear Steve Miller band shirts? I mean i'd wear one in a second but they aren't nearly famous enough for lots people to be wearing their shirts. The Who and Zeppelin have their share of "posers" though. "OMG many stary 2 heaven and pinball wizard are da best!!!11". Then you ask them to name another song by the bnds and they can't.

yes, i have been, now it's like the popular thing to like classic rock, it kind of agrivates me because the people who made fun of me for liking the old stuff, now are talking about how much they love it... man, it was great to be different, but now, it's like everyone is into it...

^Please don't write in any other color, but the standard color. :)

Dude I've Been a Led Head since I was born. My Father put me to sleep to the sounds of Led Zeppelin, The Scorpions, The Doors, The BEatles you name it man. There is nothing better than CLASSIC ROCK.
|
 Led head, clever.
I haven't heard anything by the scoripons other than rock you like a hurricane. Keeping in mind that that's a **** good song :thumb: |
^Please don't write in any other color, but the standard color. :)
Yep good ol' white. The color of opression :thumb: |
Gc
Yeah, ok i admit im only 14, but hey, i love classic rock,i love pink floyd and queen! i was raised on it,(my father would kill me if i got into that "rap crap")
Yep. Then again so is Good Charlotte :(. Some teenagers are more cool than others I guess.
good charlotte...UCK! they are what i call a pop boy band tryin to be badass, its horrible what the youth of today are listening to, if your going to listen to a pop band, then at least listen to something out of the 80's!!! |
Pop in the 70s and 80s was just the music that was better than the other music. Not ****ty sell out boybands with guitars.
|
Could any of you guys reccomend me a cd to pick up from Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath.
All I have is The Wall and Symptoms of the Universe. |
i would try to find either of there best hits, always a good option
|

Not all of it, have you ever listened to the carpenters? my god that is the shittiest music in the universe it makes me wish a cinder block would crush my head
Could any of you guys reccomend me a cd to pick up from Pink Floyd and Black Sabbath.
In terms of pink floyd Dark side of the moon is a popular "starter album" it sort of gets you into their type of stuff. hmmm Meddle is good, Wish you were here or animals would be my other reccomendations. But wish you were here doesn't have the same sense of togetherness as the other's it's just a few good songs that they threw under the same name type thing. |

not so much that it nessecarily won't so much as the record company's won't let it(or take a chance on it or whatever you want). That's why you don't sign anything without creative control :thumb:. |
Indeed.
Kim Mitchell=the pwn :D I suggest all of you go see him since he's touring. And he's with April wine and they aren't bad. |
Ten Years After is great classic rock band that not a lot of people know about.
If You like Zeppelin or Hendrix look into this band. My dad said that they played at Woodstock 69'. And Yeah there is a small amount of teenagers listening to classic rock, me being one of them, but more then half of them have their heads so far up MTV's *** that they'll probably never hear or even want to know about the greatest bands ever. |
I think he's coming to the hawk rocks the park festival here in london next week, along with april wine, steppenwolf, alice cooper etc... It's going to be awesome.
Oh ya I saw jeff heely last night at the blues fest here... for free and right next to the stage. The festival was being held in a praking lot and there was an alley from the street behind that led to spot level with the stage and five feet away max. Canned heat and Jimmie vaughan are lpaying sometime too, I hope I can go and I hope they don't block off the alley, I had better seats then anyone who actually paid to get in . |

Iam new on this forum... I don't like punk bands like good charlotte, yellowcard, simple plan, etc.. They're the "boy bands" of rock.. they're not even close to music!! It's amazing how rock & roll changed after a period of time and how they lowered the standards.. if this was the 70s or 80s.. those bands wouldn't even get a record deal... bands like Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath are the untouchables of rock & roll/metal... no one would get close to them for the next 10 years or so.. that's what I believe... their the Michael Jordan or Muhammad Ali of rock... :) |

Even more than Kim Mitchell. |

I love Heely. Even more than Kim Mitchell.
I've seen him twice now actually :p! If only you knew how good the spot I had was, it was basically standing at the side of the stage. |
Whats awesome about classic rock is that its old and no one can change which way its going. its perfect to listen to. I love listening to it when ever i have a chance. Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, The doors, and i dont know if they are classic rock, but DRamarama. classic rock is awesome.

Im pretty sure. If you haven't ever heard them, listen to their most known song: I'd love to change the world. It's on the Farenhiet (sp) 9/11 sound track. Also an awesome song to play on the guitar :) Alvin is the man.
|
