MOTÖRHEAD have reportedly set "Inferno" as the title of their new album, due in North America on June 22 through the Sanctuary subsidiary Metal-Is Records (the album will arrive in Europe on June 21 via SPV/Steamhammer Records). Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Terminal Show" (featuring a guest appearance by Steve Vai), "Smiling Like a Killer", "In the Name of Tragedy", "In the Black", "Year of The Wolf", "Life's a Bitch", "Keys to the Kingdom", "Suicide" and "Whorehouse Blues". The cover for the CD is once again being provided by esteemed cover artist Joe Petagno.

every thrash band sucked after 1989. whats new? :p
persistence of time is a good album though.
Maybe your just listening to the wrong bands check out Exhorder then you'll realise how stupid that comment above is. |
Maybe your just listening to the wrong bands check out Exhorder then you'll realise how stupid that comment above is.
Stupid yes, idiotic... yes. Was that the point?... Yes. Exhorder started in the mid 80's anyways. Sithlord is cool though...especially cool to Star Wars fans. |
After months of trading verbal jabs with his former bandmates, frontman Philip Anselmo appears to have finally softened his stance with regards to one day sharing the stage again with ex-PANTERA guitarist Dimebag Darrell and drummer Vinnie Paul (both currently in Damageplan). Asked in a live phone interview on the "Friday Night Rocks" show on New York's Q104.3 Friday night (April 23) if he could ever see himself collaborating again with the other former members of PANTERA, Anselmo replied, "I think I see it more than they see it. I would have no problem at all, if we were in the same town and their band was playing and they wanted to play some PANTERA songs, I'd be a man and suck it up and [go up on stage and] do some PANTERA songs [with them]."
Anselmo's current band, superjoint ritual, are in the middle of a headlining tour which will take them to Davenport, Iowa Saturday night (April 24). The group will follow up a main-stage appearance at this year's Ozzfest with additional touring in late summer and a return to the studio in the fall to record their third full-length album, tentatively due in early 2005 through Sanctuary Records. wow my 500th post :D |
I don't think that guys ever been in this thread.Maybe he doesn't even know about it and he just put that cause someone else had it.

maybe you should get a sense of humour. many great thrash CDs were released after 1989, like Metallica - black album. and exhorder suck. check out Megadeth - rust in peace if you want a good album after 1989. Or, of course, judas priest - painkiller. |
er, i was the one pointing out the fact that many good thrash albums were released after 89 remember you were the one that said thrash sucked after 89 so whats with the advice, i already own rust in peace for many years as i'm sure all thrash fans do and as for the black album and painkiller there not thrash
|
Lmao, manuscript is probably drunk again!! (that is, he's joking)
Hey everybody, myself and another fella at uni have started a metal society! \m/ Basically it is just a metal association of sorts within the uni that does metal stuff. :D yep, it's cool. Anyone like Exumer? |
again, you don't seem to realise the fact I AM NOT BEING SERIOUS. I know the black album and priest are not thrash. and whats with you pointing out there are many good thrash albums after 1989? You said 'check out Exhorder' which is possibly the worst advice I've ever received. They are a poor man's version of pantera.
case closed. you are a moron who cant distinguish being fact and a joke. Now get out of the thread, before Lord Dargon issues some hurt onto your sorry a ss. EDIT: To AARON to J Met: Believe it or not, I am not drunk. |
Exumer ****ing rule! Shame I can't find any of their CD's anywhere.
Metal society eh! so what do you do? go around getting pissed every night? |
hehe, that was a bit harsh manuscript... :p
Nar, :(.. all us metal heads don't have the cash to do that. :(.. although we do plan to organise for some bands to play at our uni's bar when it is up and running. Get some good ol' aussie metal playing at the uni.... Our ultimate goal is to get D666 playinf here :D :p |
I just read a biography on Chuck Schuldiner. He was so cool. Without even hearing one Death song, I'm going to buy some of their albums. and the ****ING MAINSTREAM DIDNT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE HIS DEATH!!!! DA MN THEM TO HELL!!!
anyway. this dude who goes to TAFE with me, i saw him at the Anthrax gig. he is the biggest metal head ever. i told him my most metal thing ever (That tommy baron from coroner plays on two kreator albums) and he just goes 'yeah... i knew that' i'm like 'dude no one that i've talked to before even knows who coroner is!' it was a great moment. unfortunately like me, he plays bass, as does the only other metalhead in tafe, so we cant start up a band!!! but he's burning atheist - unquestionable presence for me. and im burning coroner - grin for him. (Im so metal, Im one of two people in the whole world that i know of that own that CD) Thrashmaster27: what are some good second hand CD stores in Melbourne????? I'm going there in June and i'm bringing $250 to spend just on CDs! (the other $750 for alcohol of course!) NP: dark angel - perish in flames. best song off darkness descends! And i havent heard of Exumer. any good? what are some good songs? |
all us metal heads don't have the cash to do that
i do. hehehe.
playinf
and you say i'm drunk! :p |
manuscript you havent heard any death! your missing out i would reccomend if you can get hold of it leprosy or scream bloody gore but thats even harder to get hold of my fav track has to be pull the plug i need to get some more death :( and control denied his project after death
|
manuscript: get scream bloody gore and leperosy (they are my fav death albums atm).
Exumer: are excellent (as i think i have said before :p) I have Possessed by fire that we can trade on our next expodition. :p Melbourne: has some great 2nd hand shops. I think there are about 5 used shops inthe CB, and a chain store called 'Dixon Recycled' that has 5 shops spread throughout the suberbs... When i went to melbourne, i just asked at an information booth if there were any used CD shops around, and the young lass was very helpful indeed! (also a butt load of used vinyl - I swear i saw about 100 slayer vinyls in the one city :p) |
:upset: we [england] have nothing like that especially vinyl's :(
i heard a new death angel song today bah didnt reckon much to it i was a bit dissapointed to be honest |
We in australia dont have anything like it either... except in blood melbourne! ARGH! (1000kms away :( )
Thanks for reminding me mate, i downloaded that album the other day, but ahve yet to listen to it... Im half way through thrown to the wolves atm, and it sound fairly alright. Actually, it sounds great, even though it's no tempo of the ****ed! Although, they probably put theire good songs at the start anyway. Oh well, if it's the ultra violence take II, ill be happy :p |
I have not heard any death angel until today this new stuff sounds very kind of punky i was hoping for full on thrash :(
|
Hey, just letting you guys know I'm gonna try to get my account back.. if that fails and they just ban this account, just know I dug hanging out here. Hopefully I can stay.
|
It's not permanent, thank god. There are a lot of permanent bans going on these days, although I think those are all repeat offender newbs. See you all Tuesday, I might have a couple songs recorded by then with my little band.

^^ they are a poor man's pantera. Go listen to cryptopsy
p.s Yusss! I converted my dad to JP!!! Played him their best song, exciter, and he 1. turns it up and 2. puts it on again! Finally, some decent tunes when we go for drives |
Check out my awesome Coroner review, fools! RIP and Grin soon to come!

Anybody gotten Music of Mass Destruction yet? I was at the concert where it was recorded. I also got a major reminder of why I REALLY hate southern rap music. I now want to kill Ludacris, Lil' Jon, The Ying Yang twins, and any other dumb f*ck that is from the southern U.S.A. and raps. This is why I listen to THRASH!
I should have started singing Efilnickufesin. |

Finally, some decent tunes when we go for drives
I did the same thing with my dad a few months ago. He even said that he liked Metallica's Master of Puppets and Anthrax's We've Come For You All. He's even learning Anyplace but Here with me on guitar. |
^^ they are a poor man's pantera. Go listen to cryptopsy
1. I have listened to Cryptopsy longer than you 2. Pantera sucks 3. Exhorder is way faster and heavier than Pantera 4. I think you're drunk again 5. Nice avatar :D |
Question:
I know this is kind of goofy, but I was thinking. If we Titans would put on a concert of thrash covers, who would play what? Would we have more than 1 band, or have people rotate. Hell, the only people that I know what instrument they play in the Titans is GPB, and that's a dead giveaway. Anyway, someone post if they have the answer to this. |
