|
The Beatles - Abbey Road
I was home sick today with the flu and realized I hadn't listened to this in a long time. |
Husker Du - "Don't Wanna Know if You Are Lonely"
good song. sad though, if you put all these bitter break-up songs in the context of a band full of bad vibes and cranky gay junkies :( |
The Rational Academy
Really awesome band from Brisbane. They're like a mix of Sonic Youth, Low, Pavement and I guess Death Cab. I'll be seeing them Wednesday night with Deerhoof and My Disco.
Yeah Rational Academy are quality dudes. Where and how much is that show? It sounds good. Diggage: Dr. Dre - The Chronic J Dilla - Donuts and now: Cold War Kids - Robbers & Cowards These guys are great. |
Are you back in Brisbane now or what?
Yeah man, sure am. It's good to be back. |
Kickass. Maybe I'll see you around.
|
For sure. It's a distinct possibility anyways.

Ricardo is the man. I myself am digging external hard drives. Cuz now, instead of all of my music being gone after my hard drive failure, I'll be able to rebuild the whole library with only a minimal amount of illegal downloading. |
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds - No More Shall We Part

What are your opinions on it? |
I'm enjoying it. It has a pretty cool clumsy/twee feel to it which I usually like quite a lot.
What do you think? If you've heard it, that is. |
Thom Yorke - The Eraser
Really hit or miss this is. |

Ah ok, I understand what you're saying in the review but I disagree for the most part. As I said earlier, I'm a big fan of overly-twee and clumsy music and a lot of the local scene where I live is based on this. We have a band in Cardiff called 'Little My' who are like an even more exaggerated version of AIH.
http://www.myspace.com/tinylittlemy - You'll hate it, haha. |
Taxi Driver - OST
Belle & Sebastian - If You're Feeling Sinister |
HelloGoodbye "Zombies! Aliens! Vampires! Dinosaurs!"
I'm a sucker for most love songs, and their music is really refreshing. |
His Hero Is Gone - Monuments To Thieves
Who holds the gun to your head and makes you lick the boot of the boss who would rather kick in your ****ing teeth than shed a tear of sympathy? And we keep on licking with dreams of "promotion and a career". they keep on kicking. |
Pixies - Doolittle
Weezer - Pinkerton Probibly my two favorite albums of all time. Haven't listened to them in a while though. |
