I used to go into their room and tell them that I was home. We usually didn't do much after 1 or 2 anyway.
I lied to my parents about a lot though. Usually school. Grades and such. I used to have a HUGE problem with not doing homework. I just wouldn't do it, tell them I had, and go to school. And then they caught on and we talked about it and what not. And then after that, I still did it, I'd just have to lie to them about it more. I feel bad about it now. I'm like, a compulsive liar. I lie about stupid things that I don't need to. It just comes out. |
I lie to my parents very little. My relationship with my parents is so good that I'd feel horrible if they found out that I abused their trust.
I don't trust my parents. I feel bad saying that, because I have no reason not to. But I don't :-\
I should say that I envy you.
oic :p But it's Yes, so it's all good, right? O:-) |
Its all good when it comes to Yes.

Yeah, this is basically me. The relationship with my parents is super strong. With the way my brother is progressing, it seems like it's going to be much weaker. My parents have given me a lot of opportunities from day one and will seem to continue to do so. And they don't ask for much. I help out around the house when I'm home, keep my end of the bargain up with school, work, etc. It's not hard to be truthful to them in return. My dad will make a hard drink and he'll wonder why I wave my hand dismissively and don't give much of a reaction when he asks if I want one. I'm pretty sure my parents are aware that I don't touch the alcamahol (that, and I constantly make fun of drunk relatives at familial gatherings), so at least they don't have to worry about that or me blowing all my money on booze and poker games and cheap sluts or something. But that was a tangent. I just don't see why people have to lie about little things. White lies are fine, obviously, though, heh. |
I just don't see why people have to lie about little things. White lies are fine, obviously, though, heh.
The thing about little lies and me is that I psyche myself into thinking that the repercussions are going to be much worse than they actually will be. And so I lie. And then afterwards I realize that I was probably wrong but at that point I tell myself that admitting the lie would be stupid since I already got away with it. It would also be admitting that I was wrong and I also have a problem with that, as anyone who's ever argued with me on here has found out. |
heh, kids, you should all be 22 like me, it doesn't matter how long you stay out.
That hasn't changed since I was 18. |
My parents, within reason, don't really care how late I stay out. But they get mad at me if I don't let them know that I will be out late.
|
I was lucky, as I have never had a curfew. The first time I ever went out drinking, I stayed over at a friends place and didn't tell my parents. By the next weekend, I wanted to go drinking again, and felt like I should tell my parents. Plus I felt guilty about lying to them. They didn't mind at all. They even bought my own booze, because at least that way they knew what I was drinking. I've been going out with 40oz bottles of rum and coming home at 4:00-5:00am since I was 15. I think I turned out ok.
|
Now, my parents don't care if I go to a party and drink when I'm home and they obviously don't care if I do at school. Rather, they care but they know they can't stop me. They just don't want me to drive if I drink. Which is very reasonable.
|
My parents let me drink and when I do I usually stay round a friend's house.
|
If my parents know I'm drinking they're very clear that I'm not allowed to drive as I'm not insured anymore <_<
Check if it's the monitor... Mine does that sometimes.
No it's the hard drive. It sounds like a cooling fan is loose or something. It did this one last year for about 4 days before stopping as soon as it started. |

At this point, I'd be glad to rid of the damn thing. It crashes constantly, has managed to convince itself that despite all the free space on the drive it takes only an hour to hit the virtual memory minimum, wants me to send error reports for downed programs that weren't even running... Melting it to slag would be an improvement. |

Due to the weather, school was cancelled! Good thing too, because I had a literary analysis due!

Im lost. You have an awsome avatar. Np- Streetlight Manifesto- That'll be The Day
I'm not insured, so it's illegal for me to drive to begin with. So driving intoxicated is like exponentially worse. :p But I know the avatar is awesome O:-) Good song/band. |
Have you defragged lately?
A couple weeks ago. Though maybe doing it again might make it be less of a pain in the ass. |

if i'm driving, i don't drink more than half a pint. i'd probably be ok having a bit more, but i'm not gonna risk it. i like my car (and it has an awesome sound system :D) so how is everyone? we got modular results today from January exams, mine were both better and worse than i expected. in Physics, where i'd been expecting a D or something similar, i got a good A, which i was really happy about, but in Geography, where i'm predicted an A, i got a D  but then a massive amount of my year dropped 2, 3 or even 4 grades in that exam, so i think i wasn't the only one who fucked it up. combined with last year's grade, i'm on a high B, which is good, but ideally i really need an A to get into the Uni i want to be at. NP: Symphony X - In The Dragon's Den. \m/ |
My music piece sucks. It's a 3:18 power metal-esque song called Slay the Dragon. It's one of my bands songs but I was lacking ideas for music.
|
i just got invited to join this band, AGAIN
hes NOT going with 3 guitars (why he considered it, ???) but the fact that HE writes the originals is a BIG turn off for me :upset: fuk bands  |
That they do. Go solo and be like a death metal version of Kelly Clarkson.

im not saying fuk bands, as if all the current bands, and soon to-be-made bands can go to hell...
Im merely speaking from my standpoint, where it gives the impression that I'm searching for a needle in a pervibial haystack |
