Half life 2 is the most disappointing game i have ever played. So lame. While the phsyics engine is incredible, the game itself is inferior in almost every way to either Farcry or Doom 3. Plus it comes with this thing called Steam, which is the worst sh[color=white]it[/color] ever.

Hey now, I pride myself on my laziness, but i try real hard not to be hypocritical. Although if youre talking real immigrants, like ones that came in legally, they generally are more hardworking and upstanding citizens than your average joe, but if youre talking illegals, whom i have encountered many in my restaurant days, they are some of the lowest scum on the planet.

Inspired by a conversation in another thread, I'm working on the rules for an R&M video contest. Here's what I've got so far:

1. Only one submission per MXer. Songs may be either original compositions or covers, depending on the individual's preference.
2. Judging will be based on overall musicianship, accuracy of playing, and showmanship.
3. There will be separate rankings for solo acts and for full bands. In other words, there will be a first place for a solo performance, and a first place for a band, along with respective second and third places as well as runners-up.
4. All videos must be shot for this exact purpose only. No concert videos.
5. Recording must be done live. No digital mixing.
6. All videos must be a straight-up performance. I don't care if you can create a music video artistic enough the outstrip Peter Gabriel, that's not what this contest is about.
7. If you are simply voting for your friends, you will be disqualified.

As you can see, there are still a few gaps to fill in, but I should have it ready soon.

Eh, the wording is probably really poor at this point. I know there was a point to that when I wrote it down, but for the life of me I can't remember.

eh thats no fun, it would be better to make a proper music video in my opinion, just let people create some off the wall stuff. however if you have no skill in filming what so ever, i could see how that could be a problem to the vast majority of people

That's why I opted to just film a performance.

Directing and editing is time-consuming and the software for the latter is expensive.

Hell, either way, I plan to make a couple of my own music videos and post them here. I won't be performing on them. I'll just be lip-synching to some of the lyrics and might make an appearance or two playing guitar. Otherwise, it's the original recording with my own video work accompanying it.

So far, I've got the work planned for Don't Fear the Reaper by BOC, The Price You Pay by Savatage, and Sweet Miracle by Rush.

It will certainly be fun to watch but difficult to make one

maybe another time, I'm at school right now and can't remember any stuff offhand, I think that came out wrong anyway, By poetry I meant lyrics really. That's how I contribute to my band's songwriting, I have no musical theory knowlege

I'm lucky that I'm able to write music and lyrics by myself, though I do prefer improv on drums to actually writing it down. I just end up putting in the best stuff I can think up at the time.

Both you and Steerpike did some double posts some time last night, that is why you got banned.

Also those short posts like that could have played a part in getting your self banned as well heh.

Good morning all. I went to bed at 11:00PM last night(lol sleeping n00b) and I woke up at 9:30AM. That's entirely way more sleep than I really needed, but I'm still really tired. I think I have mono or something. :lol:

I went to bed a 1:00 and woke up at 10:45 AM; typical sleeping day for me. I've been tyring to get up earlier, becuase when I sleep in I have no mourning.
