What did everyone do today?

I slept in till 2pm (had been in bed since 3:30 or so), then got up and did nothing for a while. Then I went to the music store near me to buy some supplies, got a sweet deal as usual.

* 2 Guitar/Bass straps.
* 2 Sets of electric guitar strings (for $5).
* A bunch of picks.

The whole thing should have cost about $60, but I got it for $20. Gotta love that. My receipt reads: "1 guitar strap, 1 pkt Peavey guitar strings."

:cool:

Then I watched TV (Simpsons), then my Simpsons DVD's went back on the TV. Played Breath Of Fire for a few hours, then ate some food (see above post) and now I'm typing this.

Jerry the Racecar Driver 10-19-2004 07:43 AM

Got woken up at 7:30 am by my dad leaving for work. Got some breakfast in the form of a bacon buttie. Read some more of 'Dream Brother', then went to visit my grandma for a bit. Came back home for some lunch, put some Jeff Buckley on the stereo, then came on here.

WTF? Where are you, risbo? I lived in Duluth for 5 yrs... biggest little town you'll ever see (NOT a compliment). :)

And so far my day has consisted of getting locked in a windowless office with the lights turned out for a lockdown drill. :/ Thank GAWD there were only about 12 of us crammed in there (quiet morning at the Computer Commons).

gaslight 10-19-2004 08:36 AM

What is a Lockdown Drill?

Accentopus 10-19-2004 08:38 AM

gaslight where did you get those drawings for your avatar, they look really nice.
I just passed by the cd store and i bought Birdland from Miles Davis (with Charles Mingus on Bass) for 10 euro. It's like the first jazz cd I ever bought. Hope it's good I'm gonna check it out later.

It's when they pretend you have a situation on campus (i.e. some dickwad taking people hostage and shooting things up, for example) and everyone has to hide. Funfunfun.
