Amelia's a good one.

I could see you as an Amelia, Tess I'm not to into, but that's probably also because this mentally retarded girl at my old school was called Tessa, which kind of would scare me off that name...

Panopticon 01-27-2006 05:58 PM

Amelia is a slut name

Just like Tiffany or Crystal are stripper names...

Janeway 01-27-2006 05:59 PM

Wow. That happens to you, too?
I remember in elementary school this retarded girl named Tori walked in on me while I was pooping.I shuddered to think of that name ever since.
Only reason why I'm not a huge Tori Amos fan.

How is Amelia a slut name?
I've always thought of it as a beatnick name(I know, it doesn't make sense, but I think of it like that).

Panopticon 01-27-2006 06:01 PM

i hate my sister...she pisses me off so much...then she leaves for college an hour away and im happy...she comes back every weekend and right away, it's right back to fighting and her eating all my food, watching my TV, and being a giganto bitch...i hate her...

IMO She isn't even welcome here anymore...

I dunno...theres a girl at my school...her name is Amelia...i think she may have every STD known to man and then some...i honestly think she's fucked every grade 12 guy at my school, plus a whole bunch of university/college guys......shes a whore...

NickC 01-27-2006 06:25 PM

OK, I'll introduce myself.
I'm Nick, I'm 20 and live in Salford where I go to university studying Popular Music With Sound Recording.
I've been involved with percussion since I was 8 and started playing the kit when I was around 10.
Over the years, I've been part of orchestras, latin percussion groups, jazz and metal bands.
Now I drum with 3 bands. 2 are fast thrashy hardcore bands and one is a grindcore band....all just smalltime local bands, doing 1st or 2nd on support slots...nothing special. Although we have hopes for one of them, we'll see how things go and how many friends we can make :)
My idol is Dave Witte. He has drummed with (to name just a few) Discordance Axes, Melt Banana and Agrophobic Nosebleed and is currently the drummer for Municipal Waste. He is a fun guy who allways does what he wants to do and is one of the most fast, most precise drummers I know of. I really look up to him and hope one day I can make a living out of having fun like he does.
Thats me anyway.

jiashen 01-27-2006 06:27 PM

Dream Theater was in Singapore!! I was there!! haha it was completely surreal to see one of your most favorite bands on stage, not to mention the nationality- ,cultural-, skill-differences.

Anyway. The performance was excellent. It was like listening to their albums (except a hundred times louder), which added to the surreal experience. Just that there was some technical problems that marred the show. Like at the climax of Octavarium, the vocalist lost petrucci in his headphones or whatever and he was swearing on stage. haha.

And portnoy was surprisingly good, not just in drumming, but more so than that in getting the audience involved. He kept standing up to get the audience to do stuff. Dunno how his feet go when he stands. I should try that one day haha. But you can really feel he wants to connect to the audience.

All in all, a good concert made not that good by technical fault and a sedated audience

CombatWombat3 01-27-2006 07:17 PM

I LEAVE FOR ROME TOMORROW!!!!!

YEA, BITCHES!!!!!

In caser you haven't noticed, I'm a little excited. It's going to be incredible, also my first time traveling overseas.

derryk 01-27-2006 07:36 PM

Wow.. sweet everyone. Hi nick. C. Haha.

I'm going skating. I should have practiced drumming more today, geez.

I had to coach a practice (bball) though.. which I forgot about. I had to bike there in -10°C weather with no mittens and a *pretty much* flat front tire. It sucked- I got there a half hour late.

Blank 01-27-2006 07:39 PM

OMG Derryk!
Everyday you have a story about coaching basketball!
What's the dealio!?
 ;)
Just messin :thumb:

derryk 01-27-2006 07:40 PM

Because I coach basketball and I'm bored..

It sucked though! And.. and.. alright, I'll stop.

*leaves*

Blank 01-27-2006 07:58 PM

The Fiction We Live 01-27-2006 10:43 PM

I was just thinking... can we make thread:

*** The Drumhead Finder ***

...it would save us a lot of trouble in Gear and Media..

CombatWombat3 01-27-2006 10:55 PM

No.....it would be a pretty pointless thread, I think. It would either get no use, or a lot of people asking the same question in different ways, all resulting in the same answers:

(Coated/clear) (g1/amb) over clear (amb/g1)
(Coated/clear) (g2/emp) over clear (amb/g1)

...etc

Plan B. 01-27-2006 11:06 PM
