He said an obvious one so therefore he missed all of the other ones.
Yes, wouldn't you have thought he would have pointed them out otherwise? Like here... Jeff Bebey - Paul Rodgers Drummer - John Bohnam Russell - Dicky Betts William Miller - Cameron Crowe |
If by classic rock references you mean that the movie is entirely about classic rock. It's one of my favorite movies.
There was a movie called "Hendrix" on Vh1 last night that wasn't too bad. It appeared to be fairly low-budget but was still somewhat interesting.
I liked Hendrix. I've watched it a few times on TV. I found it quite good. Although the guy playing him kinda looks like a jerk, he's not bad as Hendrix though. |
Yes, wouldn't you have thought he would have pointed them out otherwise?
Like here... Jeff Bebey - Paul Rodgers Drummer - John Bohnam Russell - Dicky Betts William Miller - Cameron Crowe
The William Miller and Cameron Crowe one I got. Russell kind of reminded me of George Harrison on the cover of "Let It Be" |
Yes, wouldn't you have thought he would have pointed them out otherwise?
Like here... Jeff Bebey - Paul Rodgers Drummer - John Bohnam Russell - Dicky Betts William Miller - Cameron Crowe
I think everyone knows that William Miller was Cameron Crowe. The most obvious one is that the Drummer is John Bonham. Everytime I watch that movie I pick up something new or get something I didn't understand before. |
You can never have enough Tommy.
This is true. I've got the acoustic Happy Jack on now  |
This is true.
I've got the acoustic Happy Jack on now
The version on A Quick One? |
Has anyone seen the movie "The Doors" with Val Kilmer? I think I'm gonna go get that this weekend.
|
The version on A Quick One?
Yeah, I swear I must be the only person to like "I need you" :upset: |
The Jeff Bebey and Russell kind of control freak-ism reminded me of Roger Waters and David Gilmour... except I hope that Roger Waters and David Gilmour make up like they did in the movie.

Hey let's all get Tommy user titles. |
Yeah,
I swear I must be the only person to like "I need you" :upset:
You and my dad  Whiskey Man is one of those songs for me. |
Yes, wouldn't you have thought he would have pointed them out otherwise?
Like here... Jeff Bebey - Paul Rodgers Drummer - John Bohnam Russell - Dicky Betts William Miller - Cameron Crowe
Dicky Betts Band, March 10th, Cleveland House of Blues...who else is pumped for me who gets to see them. I was deprived of his greatness when I saw ABB, so this will make up for it. I wonder if he will do any ABB songs like Blue Sky or Ramblin man? |

Have you ever seen a picture of Dickey Betts and Paul Rodgers? They look just like the actors. Plus, Russell plays a Les Paul like Dickey does, and Jeff switches on and off the keyboard, just like Paul Rodgers. |

Sure he'll do those. And I thought you already saw him. |
You and my dad
Whiskey Man is one of those songs for me.
I actually don't mind it :upset: One of my favourites off the album is Run Run Run and A Quick One, it is an incredibly underated album.. |

I liked it. Some people don't like how they display Jim Morrison as a drug addict, but he basically did do drugs all the time. They kind of left out the fact that he was actually an alcoholic and not like a heroin junkie. It's a good movie though if you are into the Doors. |
Sure he'll do those. And I thought you already saw him.
I did, but he didn't do any ABB. Not like his originals are bad though, obviously. |
I actually don't mind it :upset:

I might go to a Bob Dylan concert in March sometime.

When he came to my city, everyone said he was horrible. They said he lost his voice and he didn't play any classics, just new material. |
Run Run Run might be my favorite.
I'm listening to Cobwebs and Strange and jeez...it's insane, I haven't heard this for a long time :) |

I'm listening to the album now, because you convinced me. Cobwebs and Strange is great too. Keith Moon is crazy. |

Wow. That's lame. Well there's also a CCR and a Eagles concert coming up too. |

I got Who's Next from my friend.
One of the catchiest songs on that is "Going Mobile" I had it stuck in my head for at least 2 days. "Beep beep" |
You're like my hero.
I was just gonna go "oh ****, I forgot Who's Next" but I realised, my favourite song off it is deffinitely I Don't Even Know Myself, A Quick One, is a better collective album, and I love Sell out and Tommy :) |

It's a good song though
|
It has a unique style to it
|
Wow, y'all sure posted a lot while I was gone.
For what I've missed: I started out as a Beatles and AC/DC fangirl, but I've branched out since then. (The Beatles are still my favorite band though.) Only Who album I have heard is Who's Next.:upset: |
Who's Next is good, you need to buy Sell Out though, it's awesome
|
Its probably my favorite of the who albums.Good Stuff!!
|
It's on my list...right after Disraeli Gears, Fresh Cream, PATGOD, Tommy, The Freewheelin' Bob Dylan, Blood On the Tracks, and Blonde On Blonde. My list is growing faster than my cash flow.:(
And Jam2Me: I'd like those Traveling Wilburys albums whenever you can give them to me. |
Does anyone else here prefer Axis: Bold As Love to AYE??
AYE? was great but a little inconsistent...it was unbridled genius, Jimi showing the world his raw talent. Axis: Bold As Love was bit more mature, a bit more polished, a bit more focused. |
