We are trying to make a tribute band for metallica. Each person records a part drums, guitar, etc. and then we put it all together and have an "official metallica thread tribute song".

Hey i was wondering if anyone here knows a solo i can learn that ain't too hard.

I can play the first 2 solos in one and master of puppets, and i can play the solos for for whom the bell tolls.

I play rythm guitar, but i want to try to learn some solos as well.

if you want some really sick guitar work from none other than *Kirk* you should learn the solos from "trapped under ice"! there is some kick *** guitar work on that song and if you can get it its something to brag about. But if you want easy solos the one from "one" is easy and the solo on "Fade To black" isnt too hard.

I dont think we should do Am I Evil?. It should be songs written by Metallica, not Diamond Head. I think we should do "Seek and Destroy" or "Creeping Death". Or maybe Fade to Black, but that might be hard to get the 2 guitar parts together when we arent actually together.

well the guy was asking for advice on solos and you ask him to join the St. Anger club, it doesnt really make sense.
And solos do make the world go round!!! think of metallica in the 80s without Kirk Hammett and with just James and Burton, no solos would suck!

first of all you dont talk to me like that,im your seinor,and second of all i did not ask him to join,some one else did,hell,for whom the bell tolls dosent have a solo and its a great song!and i had no idea he was askin help on solos,i dont play guitar,i play drums.and last,if kirk left im sure mustaine would come back!!!!!so stfu nOOb

They wouldnt suck. They would just have made up another sweet riff that went in there and every1 would still love them, just maybe not as much.

Solos do add to it though, but Metallica wouldnt suck without them, cause St. Anger doesnt suck, i love it. :lol:

and james and cliff wrote amazing riff. think about all the music besides the solo and you get what metallica would be like sololess which is pretty awesome
