I smoked today for breakfast, my first Philly Blunt...I prefer my pipe.
Rep for that joke if I can lol. Eight days untill Mule for me I'm psyched, JPJ how awesome was it when you saw them?
It was crazy. I was really impressed with Hess's solo and Warren was on the top of his game. They also had quite a nuce light show to go along with, plus the dancing hippies up front added some extra entertainment. |
I don't think I can stress this enough:
Get DSOTM. GET IT GET IT GET IT GET IT. Every track is an absolute winner. Personal favourite being Great Gig In The Sky. |

I 'borrowed' my friends Gov't Mule C.D. ;) Songs I like: Temporary Saint, Mother Earth, Mule. I was thinking about getting "Live with a little help from our friends" Yay/nay? |

I used to slag that off as "Tacky" but once I got to like it it's one hell of an instrumental. And yeah, do you have "Odds & Sods" by the Who? That is one of the single most underated albums of all time. |
I gotta buy some Pink Floyd, what do you guys reccomend DSOTM? I was just thinking about getting Echoes since I'm not a huge fan.
don't get echoes, i might recomend Wish You Were Here, it is a great first album to buy, but what ever you do don't buy Echoes, Greatest Hits aren't a good idea for Floyd. |
Momentary Lapse Of Reason is a good Pink Floyd album,
very underated with some great tunes. |

Wow,
excellent . Is there any plans for a new album from them? |

Nah it's ok, My computer is pretty darn slow so, yeah, but thanks.
Rush - 2112 Rush - Spirit of Radio
Ah Rush, My favourite band of the moment, that's pretty hardcore getting 2112 as one of your first Rush albums, considering it's very Proggy, but good on you. If you get another one next get Hemispheres :-* |
I'm gonna have to stop buying cd's so I can get that 6 string I had my eye on :(
You say that like there was a possibility you weren't going to buy a guitar with 6 strings. |

Every so often I touch a chord and get nailed with a barrage of "This place will be a better place without you" posts and I figure eventually you are gonna have to put your money where your mouth is. I've argued my case many times, and even though I tend to be positive or at least neutral, people hone in on the negative posts here. |
You say that like there was a possibility you weren't going to buy a guitar with 6 strings.
I play bass, so there is a possibility of me buying a guitar without 6 strings. And it's a Cort Curbow, Walrus Gumboot. |
The fact that you play bass isn't completely known.

i've beend saving for money toward my drum set, but i can't help it and i go out and spend all my money on cd's, im not good with saving money. :upset: |
I've had $200 since Christmas, it's sooo hard not spending it... I wanna get a Wolfgang or something.
|
Im really saving for a new guitar, preferably SG, and maybe an updated drumset.
Id post some sweet thing that just recently happened, but itd take too long too explain, be about 20 post out of date, and lose everybodies interest. But until i get a huge hefty payday, Im gonna get some pedals for my guitar - a dunlop Univibe and a Boss DD-3 delay. |
I think I might buy a good Fender Strat later in the year, maybe next year I'm not sure. Depends if I find one I like.
I just bought the Blonde on Blonde record, it was in such perfect condition I just couldn't pass it up. And the guy working there gave me five bucks off and payed the taxes because I go there so often. I've got a question for you guys about Dylan. What do you prefer, his songs/albums that are mainly just him, his guitar, and his harmonica (like Freewheelin), or his songs/albums where he plays with a full band? edit- although those damn telecasters have been catching my eye lately too. |
I like the Greatest hits Vol. I era Dylan the most

Just him is better. I haven't listened to a lot of his stuff with the band.
|
I'm reviewing Sweetheart of the Rodeo :)

Gram Parsons is a demi-god.
