Sorry, but no one powerful wants to deport cheap labor. Maybe they'll deport your lazy white ass. :)
They would never do such a thing.

Illmatic 07-03-2005 10:29 PM

Jake: It bugs me when fat lazy Americans hate the Mexicans for "stealing their jobs", if that counts.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-03-2005 10:31 PM

And then they turn around an bitch about how there aren't enough people to do the bottom end jobs.

I've never actually seen that, but I've definitely heard of it happening many times. It sounds extremely idiotic.

ATM 07-03-2005 10:34 PM

That's some dangerous thinking, Jake.

We should just keep agreeing with everything that the government does like they want us to.

Permanent Solution 07-03-2005 10:36 PM
God, no matter where you move, you just can't get away from them Mexicans.

Oh, hey Vince.

We whack our own weeds in these parts, motherfucker.

That came out horribly wrong.

 Thread history my rich, spoiled, pampered, priveledged, free white arse.
Try Canada.

Hi

Yes, yes it did.

oic...well...you're the whitey so I guess your opinion matters most :p

Lunch: They will when I'm president.

Ray: That bothers me too.

Jake: America is really full of hypocrites and lazy people. Most immigrants are better than "real" Americans from experience.

Shred Danson 07-03-2005 10:38 PM

We should overthrow the government and make white people pick cotton and do gardening.

And legalize marijuana and prostitution.

And we should all be vegetarians.

And we should all drive in little plastic bubbles.

(sarcasm)

Oh god, I've got a headache.

Illmatic 07-03-2005 10:39 PM

Idunno, it's always bugged me...is it really their fault big companies find them more hirable than you?

I think this is a good idea.

If you live in the south...

Otherwise hooray for AA!

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-03-2005 10:43 PM

I've come to notice that too. The ironic part is that the original Americans are generally the worst. I'm not trying to hate on Native's or anything, but from what I've expirienced, they just like to sit on their reservation land and smoke peyote all day. I know I'm generalizing a bit, but this is just what I've come to notice. Then you have white people that think they are entitled to everything.

One of my 'immigrant' friends who really stands out in my eyes is a girl who graduated this past year. She is going to Stanford next year on a full ride scholarship. She is so freaking smart, yet she also had a hand in about 1 out of every 2 school clubs. She also played tennis, which is a full-time after school commitment. She was one of the most dedicated people I've known. Granted, she didn't have much of a social life or a tennis game, but she was still an extremely nice person, and a perfect example of what you're talking about Vince. I'll miss her a lot when she's at Stanford..

lunch998 07-03-2005 10:45 PM

So basically what you're saying is that immigrants have no friends?

Joking...

My dad immigrated here when he was six, supported his divorced mom and his five siblings (being the oldest), and attended college and became a rocket scientist. I'm slightly biased heh :)

Yeah, but before I moved back here, it was tough being a white guy. I lived in Southern California like 100 miles from the border. Lots of Mexicans. I'm not saying anything bad about them because a lot of my friends were Mexican-American, and they were cool people. Don't matter what the upbringing is to me, as long as they're cool to me, I'm cool to them, and that's how it usually is with people in general with me, anyway... I almost thought I was Mexican for a while . I've been used to being (often) the only white guy in my classes. When I got back here, I was like "Oh, hey, look at all the white people, let's meddle and talk about how much that one minority takes all our jobs and such". Stereotypes suck and own at the same time.

Wow.

Cain 07-03-2005 10:49 PM

Sup guys. I was wondering if you guys could give this song a listen: it's a newly recorded version of my song "Empty" renamed to "A Silent Sky" and with the "real" programmable drums, synth, and bass on Garageband rather than stupid MIDI. Unfortunately, in the mixdown to iTunes it sounds like some mids were lost. So, I would appreciate criticism not only on the song composition wise, but also in terms of levels and mix. Are they all right or way off?

Please listen! :)

Ray- I'm guessing you're criticizing my spelling again? And no, she's Hispanic.

I do. I'm currently on track getting a full ride scholarship and a 4.0 last semester though, at least I think I am. I did a lot in high school too. My goal is to make more than my dad does now as a starting salary :p

What are you talking about?

/doesn't know of any immigrant success stories

Shred Danson 07-03-2005 10:59 PM

Hey, I'm gonna do a little self-stereotyping real quick:

"Man, I'd bone her hardcore in the butt and twice Sunday."
"Dude, that's your cousin."
"I know."

"Hooooo---eeee, boy! *knee slap* strap me on a banjo and we'll have us a hoedown!"

"Y'all, y'all, y'all"

"Let's go hunting and bring back some coonskins!"

"Git 'R Done."

I love how people hear me say "I'm from Kentucky", hear my accent and automatically think "redneck". It's like "no, man, yer thinking of Arkansas".
What are you talking about?
I'm just rambling about my experiences with Mexicans in Califuckya.

Dr. Jake Destructo 07-03-2005 11:09 PM

Oh yeah, we talked about that huh Ray. I can actaully think of an immigration story involving Chicago. Has anyone ever read Black Boy by Richrard Wright? It's kind of an autobiography about this black boy(go figure) who was born down south and was subject to oodles of prejudice, but he eventually made it to Chicago in his late teens and ended up living a succsesful life. I reccomend it to anyone looking for a sad story, though. As far as required literature for my past english class, it was top notch.

ATM 07-03-2005 11:11 PM

Lucas,

INCREDIBLE! You are a musical genius, man. I wish I could come up with stuff like this.

The only complaint I have is that the drums need to be louder.

Dude, you never cease to amaze. I wish I could play guitar like that. The whole song had a rather quixotic atmosphere to it. The synth layers really helped to create the proper ambience, and the guitar tone was great.

The song had a distinctive power metal flavor to it, and I really liked sharp-edged riffs in particular. Well-done.

While I'm thinking of it, have you gotten a chance to read "Pickman's Model" yet?
