BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 02-17-2005 11:52 PM

Yea that's what we should do.

Illmatic 02-17-2005 11:54 PM

I don't see what the problem is. We round up the "regs" and we'll put it to a vote to see if I should keep posting in this thread. If I truly annoy all of you as much as you seem to say, it should be a near-unanimous vote to have me not post here.

And don't worry, if that is the ruling, I will stay true to the bargain, because I am a man who keeps his word.

 Your going a little overboard arnt you?

Look all Im saying is you need to stop being so negative.

thickasabrick 02-18-2005 12:33 AM
When I sent you The Deep End did you get 13 tracks?
Is that directed towards me? It only has nine tracks on mine.

And we can't vote someone out of a thread! As long as someone uses correct spelling and punctuation I see no reason why they should leave the thread. We don't agree on a lot of things Disconnection Notice, but they are just opinions...it's always good to have someone at the other end of the debate. Everyone can't always just agree on everything or it would get boring after a while. Stick around, it keeps things interesting.

thickasabrick 02-18-2005 12:35 AM

So Schyma was that you who planned on taking acid sometime soon?

We made digereedoos (spelling??) in school a few years ago, and today I decided to drill a whole in the side of mine and turn it into a giant pipe. I'm gonna test it out tonight if I can scrounge up enough weed. A friend of mine has all of mine from last weekend so I've been scraping up all the shake I can find.

Seafroggys 02-18-2005 12:59 AM
So.....Im a little late......:(

A freind has just gotten into Classic Rock. 2 weeks ago he didn't even know who George Harrison was now he has (almost) every single Beatles album, and 1 Doors album he has about 8 different Classic Rock shirts already (Led Zepp, Floyd, Beatles and Doors) and it fucking pisses me off when I dont have a single shirt. A n00b has everything even when he doesn't even have a Floyd or Zepp album.
Who cares. The shirts are lame anyways. As long as he actually enjoys the music, it's no problem. I hate classic rock t shirts. Well, at least the ones they have now. T shirts that are actually from the 60s and 70s are cool.

Riva 02-18-2005 07:11 AM

Ah, send him into the Floyd thread, and we shall see how big a fan he is. :)

Yes, that was directed towards you. Which tracks do you have?

Have you ever seen Jarrets room on SNL? They had a superbowl episode where they made a super bowl: trash can with a dryer vent hose coming out of it-- that might be fun

IAJP 02-18-2005 09:55 AM

Heh,
thanks for the rep in the Doors thread everyone.
Jeez, I should be going to a party tonight.
I was thinking of taking a few C.D's with me ;)

shadow_stalker 02-18-2005 10:12 AM

i recently got 'the who' album 'now and then', most of it is good stuff so could anyone recomend me an album?

/overasked style of quesion :upset:

jpj 02-18-2005 10:25 AM
Who's Next and A Quick One.
i'll look into them, thanks :thumb:

Distant Echoes 02-18-2005 11:11 AM

Whos Next, Quadrophenia (my fav) or Who are you?

Live at leeds is great too, one of the few good live albums i own. The solo to heaven and Hell is incredible.

I never see a quick one around here in any stores though, but im not so interested since im not crazy about that song either (a quick one while he's away), so ill probably get the who sell out next

ReturnToRock 02-18-2005 11:25 AM

i have idolized AC/DC ever since i was 9 (am now 19). most of what i listen to is from the 80's
so yeah...guess u're right.

I went to a vintage store the other day and got a Paul McCartney Ebony and Ivory t-shirt from the 70's.

I try to not be "negative"; if given the chance I could say more positive things than negative things. I just like to keep it real.

lunch998 02-18-2005 01:32 PM

Disconnection likes The Who and Blind Faith, therefore he's alright by me.

It's true.

Jam2Me 02-18-2005 01:59 PM

I found a used Dickey Betts & The Great Southern compilation so I bought it, I'm really loving it, I'd reccomend it to anyone who likes Allman Brothers Band or Southern or Bluesy rock.

10 songs from 1977-1978 I got it for $2.99, it was a steal.
Yes, that was directed towards you. Which tracks do you have?
It's got Beautifully Broken, Effigy, Fools Moon, Life on the Outside, Maybe I'm a Leo, Same Price, Sco-Mule (is that what it's called?), Sunshine, and Tear Me Down.

My giant pipe worked alright, although I needed some actual weed...not just scraps. I'd go and get some right now, because I wanna go buy some records anyways...but my brother took my car.

I need to send you Banks of the Deep End, Down and Out In New York City, Worried Down With the Blues, and Sin's a Good Man's Brother.

Alright.

Here's a funny joke...

Two guys sitting in a 2nd floor apartment, totally psychedelicized. One turns on a flashlight and shines it out the window, and they both trip on the light beam that goes from the flashlight into the sky. One guy says to the other, "You know, I'll bet you could walk all the way up that beam of light into the sky!" The other replies, "You must think I'm really stoned! We both know that as soon as I got halfway up, you'd turn off the flashlight."

Jam2Me 02-18-2005 02:51 PM

I smoked today for breakfast, my first Philly Blunt...I prefer my pipe.
Rep for that joke if I can lol.

Eight days untill Mule for me I'm psyched, JPJ how awesome was it when you saw them?

What's everyone's favourite Pink Floyd album?
I've been listening to craploads of Animals lately...

The only two I've listened to in the past few days were DSOTM and PATGOD. Although I think I might indulge in Meddle sometime today.

I just listened to Animals for the first time in awhile. Right now I'm not really into Floyd.

Jam2Me 02-18-2005 03:11 PM

I gotta buy some Pink Floyd, what do you guys reccomend DSOTM? I was just thinking about getting Echoes since I'm not a huge fan.

Get DSOTM, don't get Echoes.

Well everyone would suggest something different, but I'd say DSOTM is a good starting point, it's kind of middle of the road between their earlier stuff and their later stuff. Echoes isn't a bad idea too though.

I actually like the song "Echoes", but I don't think the album would make a great beginner's album.

Pretty much everyone suggests starting with DSOTM.
