Yeah, it's a shock. Quite a lot of the teachers were crying about it and some pupils too.
It's just weird because he used to always come through our technology room singing along to the radio and that's never gonna happen again. :(
Yeah, was it wierd at school today?

We've had a couple of pupils die in the last couple of years, but no teachers.
That's what happens when you play chicken on a busy road.

Sure was. Maths, English and Science the teacher's didn't really want to do anything do we were set work and it was up to us wether we did it or not. For Jiu Jitsu, the sensei comes in from out of school. The period before he was doing knifework but felt pretty bad when he was told about the incident and chose not to do it with us.

I knew you wouldn't get it, I was hoping someone else would... reference to The Wishsong of Shannara... I have to be nerdy from time to time.

Basicaly Garet Jax is a crazy fighter guy, kinda like a ninja, anyhow somebody comes at him with a knife, and nobody knows really what happens, but the knife ends up in the attacker's throat.

nah, i was thinking if i was attacked by a hot chick with a knife, id knock em out, use the knife to 'disrobe' them, and something about bondage

I mean Midway...
there was a very annoying nemesis created for Jax and Sonia in that game, called either Jarret, or Garret, I can't recall.
Either it was deliberate on the ending scenes with them falling over a cliff with Sonia shouting "Jaaareet! Jax!" as a reference to that book, or it's a total coincidence and I play too many games:)

kurrpt 03-08-2006 01:00 PM

i know what ur talking about LA, but ive never heard anything about that book

Shred Danson 03-08-2006 01:57 PM

I actually picked up a novel for once in my life. I'm reading Stephen King's "Dreamcatcher", rekindling my love for all books by him. Good stuff. Loved the movie too :p

Bartender 03-08-2006 02:18 PM

I didn't like the film. Had some interesting ideas - the representation of the ginger guy's (I forget names) mind, for example - but I didn't like how the film was overall, for the most part. Not even with Jason Lee.

I'm watching this Dunblane memorial thing at the moment. It's strange how all the people they're talking to are stressing how it was a perfectly normal day, everyone was just walking to work and walking to school, nothing out of the ordinary going on. As if they expect Satan himself to have been dancing down the street.

I found it enjoyable. At first it makes you think "what the fuck?" but it's one of those movies where everything comes clear as time passes by...

And the "ginger guy" (reminds me of a South Park episode) was named Jonesy.

So today, we had this assembly thing with a footbal player (Canadien League) and a brain scientist.

We got a signed card from the player.

I love this band.

Stormrider 03-08-2006 02:29 PM

I'm not a fan of football realy, but it was still fun to have the guy give us the card that he signed infront of us.

His name is Luke Fritz. For anyone who watches the CFL.

I probably spelled his name wrong.

PinkFreud 03-08-2006 02:29 PM

Stephen King's books don't often hold up well to film adaptions. Exceptions being "The Shining" (which he hated and actually disowned) and "The Green Mile." "It" wasn't really very good. The made for TV version of "The Stand" was awful, I never saw "Apt Pupil" but it wasn't out for very long. "Stand By Me" was pretty good but that was a short story. I'm drawing a blank on others but I don't think any others were very good.

Steerpike 03-08-2006 02:42 PM

I just botched two of my midterms. There's no way I cna pass either of those classes now.

The earliest time I could schedule a talk with any one was one of the professors this Friday. I don't get to speak with dean until after break on Monday the 20th.

If I can't work out an agreement with him, I'm going to be kicked out of college at the end of the semester.

And it's all because I let myself become so focused on my own personal projects that I neglected studying and work in all but two of my classes. I let my tunnel vision take over and I insanely justified all of my irresponsible decisions. Now I have to pay the price and it may cost me my degree.

I'm trying to get ahold of my family, figuring it's better to get this overwith, but none of the are answering their phones, so I'm left here to stew in it.

God, I feel like there's a lead weight on my heart. I don't know what to do anymore.

TojesDolan 03-08-2006 02:46 PM

Yeah, XBOX is now outdated so it's all good. I have to wait until revolution comes out so I can get a 'cube very, very cheap and a good portion of nintendo hits. Like Smash Bros. Or Zelda. Or Animal Crossing.

Faith? It always works. Have faith in something. That works usually.
